This is turning out to be a very nicely spec'd project.. I will have to add myself back onto the list

Sounds good tom. So you're not using temp control, right? How hot are you running that marquis, and how much juice can you get through on a single charge?
I will have pics of the squonking system once my parts arrive. It's unlike anything else I have ever seen. Think full length stainless steel tube with a pair of ring magnets and an o-ring sandwiched in between. Similar to what Mundy did but with no rubber tube. Less parts equal less leaks. No screwing bottles to the mod. Just slide the bottle in and snap.
Current dimensions: 2-3/4" wide, 1" thick and 3-3/4 tall.
I'm really impressed! So fit and finish much like a Sunbox. Very nice! Similar finished shape?? Smoother lines, more rounded edges than the prototype. Correct??I'm searching for a 1000mah 30+c cell that will fit properly. I'm looking at hard case options now that will make battery swaps simple. As it stands with the Deans ultra connectors it's a bit fiddley... My workable but not quite ready for prime time. My goal is fit and finish much like a Sunbox but with full usability. I'm working on an external jst port to allow FAST charging. Who wants to wait an hour when it can be done in 20 minutes? Not me!
I haven't test the time from dead to 100% with the USB yet but at 1a (stock micro USB in the board) should still be under an hour.

Yep... I've been waiting for this mod since it was just a twinkle in Toms eyeVery Nice! The specs and Catfish dedication to quality is what pushed me to jump back on the bandwagon... This is going to be a standout mod
I'm going to try for a little smoother but not at the expense of looking like a cobbled together Hammond box or just a boring block. There is less than 1mm between the battery and the chip, also less than 1mm between the battery and the bottle. The entire box is 4mm larger than the three components stacked on top of each other. I might try the 1st version again with the chip and battery stacked and a 15ml bottle. It would be 1-1/4 thick x 2". I could probably do a teardrop shape like the boxer.I'm really impressed! Go Tom Go!! I can see those wheels turning from hereI'm going to try for a little smoother but not at the expense of looking like a cobbled together Hammond box or just a boring block. Have to disagree on that point. The voltage is divided not the current. 12v 3a to the pack, 4v 3a to each cell.
That's the whole point.. I'm not using USB input. I'm using external charger input which should be 12 v at 3 amps from this charger.USB provides 5V
Next to the infamous orange E8 Classic. This should be about a 1/4" wider than an E7.Great effort Tom, does look bigger in the picture but those dimensions quoted will easily fit in hand. Anodised finish ticks the box big time, more rounded corners I agree would make it feel better in hand but definitely looks like a winner, the dark grey, yes please [emoji6]
