OK - I understand where you all are coming from.

BUT I didn't know anything about a V2 - could be because I also wasn't here when the V1 pre-order was actually announced or talked about somewhere.

I know that some of you follow these threads here religiously, but I haven't. I simply placed my order and wait for it to arrive.

So yes, I was totally taken off-balance to see this thread.

I knew about the pre-order because when I ordered on the web site it said pre-order. I didn't order months ago like some, I only ordered about a couple of weeks ago.

What I'm trying to understand though, is why all the talk and hoopla about a V2 when not everyone has even received the V1?

Even if this V2 is not the Prodigy, shouldn't the focus be on getting everyone what they are waiting to get instead of spending time and energy about a model in the works?

This I don't understand!

Its just a matter of peoples preferences ... The next Generation Prodigy (called V2 or something completely different) is simply going to be smaller, that also allows for PS USBpass Adapters (they will be interchangeable)

It got talked about because of the fact these adapters were going to be interchangeable, and yes, while our focus is still catching up on preorders, it doesn't stop people from wanting to know about new and exciting things

Well its like this those of us that have ordered with steve know that he makes a quality product. The thing is everytime something comes out it fits different peoples styles or fits different situations. Imho there is no one go to pv for all situations, plus every new device that comes out allways has something new to add to the table. we are all curious to see what steve has come up with this time.
thats about it really no secret societys or anything else just curiousity and a good product .

the V2 reference was to a product Steve hinted about in LATE May as a smaller/shorter 3.7 volt Prodigy that would use all the same adapters as V1. Steve earlier in this thread cleared that up by saying its model number is 'tentatively' V1.1. Yeah mamu, i agree that it might have shocked someone to see this thread, yet it was a false alarm.

I know if I had stayed with the "Original" version....

I'd refer to it as a "Limited Pre-Release Prototype" Number 1 (2,3,4....?) of 10 !!! A true Collectable Piece of PS History !!!

I have been waiting since the day they were available for pre-order, 1 1/2 month's so far.

Is it frustrating with my current 801's impending demise? Yes.
Am I having a hard time waiting for a new product that, I am sure, will blow my past experiences with PV's out of the water? Yes.
Will I pre-order the "V2" simply because I trust steve as a supplier? I did with the V1.

Patience is something that is hard for most, especially me, I think the lesson here is acting on impulse is not usually a good idea.

Good luck on the V2 Steve and I look forward to giving you another pretty big chunk of my check for a good product.
