No I wouldn't. Not if.....

this is a true statement and one you both have knowledge of.

In that case if I were the buyer I would have specifically asked the seller to try it once they got it back before sending it to me. If I were the seller I would have taken it upon myself to test the unit when it was back in my hands as I wouldn't want to send someone else a product that I knew had potential issues that may or may not have been resolved.

Don't get me wrong. As I said in my previous post I completely agree on not seeing why they couldn't have just provided you with a mech switch in the first place if they know the track record of the original switches being faulty.

But them not doing that, which is something both the buyer and seller in this transaction were aware of, does not cancel out the fact that both the condition of the unit and the validity of the warranty are things that both of you should have checked on before completing the transaction.

i think we are almost agreeing here thyestean?i think we are on the same path. Whatever the buyer and seller back and forth issues they do not cloud the facts that puresmoker sent a switch that was faulty three times...if it had not been me to find out in ireland it wouldve been the original buyer in USA who would have been sent a tact switch and had the same issue i am having today. The only difference is PS would have to provide a 4th switch in their case. They refuse to do so in mine.

I will not go on about warranties and the particular switch they sent me as these points are already covered.

I have owned both. My switches were sticky but never stuck. Sometimes you had to tap them. BUT .. That is not acceptable. PERIOD .. Look at every other PV on the market. I think I have owned all of them. GG, Super T, Screw Driver, Silver Bullet ... what else ?? The one from Germany, can't remember the name ..

Then you have the Prodigy and Protege .. BAD BUTTONS .. BOTH OF THEM. On top of that, there was even a video about how to screw on an atomizer [or risk breaking something.] That's crazy. I'd stick with a problem free PV. If I wasn't paying close attention to what I was doing and unscrewed the top rather than the bottom of the Prodigy to change batteries, the switch would shoot across the room. I was tempted to super glue it shut. I gave it away to someone at my office .. a new vapor smoker ..

I am not a vaper ..I am a vapor smoker ..

To an extent on the one point yes. But where we differ is on whether or not the other parts make a difference. But we can agree to disagree as it is your plight and only my opinion ;)

I have just one short thing to say...
It's not a Mercedes, it's a battery holder, and it shouldn't of been like that to begin with. It was a faulty product, and I'm tired of all you cheerleaders coming in and acting like the fault lies in the purchaser because you haven't had a similar problem.

I go over to Altsmokes forum and see very little activity, I come to the PS forum and often times there are 12 or 13 people viewing and posting.

You know what most of the threads on Altsmokes forum are about? Praise for the SB and BB. You know what the most popular threads on the PS forum are about? FAILURES FAILURES FAILURES AND MORE FAILURES!

False kindness isn't kindness at all.

Thank you very much. Not everyone likes the smell of Steve or Caseys backside.

Hey just-Cass. I feel bad for you. I do remember reading your post (forgot the name) about you deciding on which mod to get. I remember you were excited to receive your protege.

I have an offer for you. I now own two SB's and I love them and use them exclusively. About a week before I purchased my SB’s I bought an Xhaler (not a bad devise—copper colored one) and used it for about a week. You could not tell the difference between a new Xhaler and mine—it is in pristine condition (only used it for a week). I would be willing to give you my Xhaler (without batteries—I use them in my SB) free of charge. If you are interested, just send me a pm. I have the cartomizer adaptor and whatever other adaptor it came with (I forgot).

Very nice gesture!!!!!

a secret modder here has offered to fix the switch for me and personally i would pay for him to do it rather than give ps another $1. On principle i will not pay another penny to them for it. it is so heartbreaking to me as it is $100 i worked hard for to pay for it originally...

lol I just had to be a smartass. If I were you I would definitely see about getting the switch fixed and keep it as from what I've seen it is a good device when it has a good switch ;)

perhaps i should keep it although i dont know how well my presence would be felt in the sub forum if i continue using it it would be somewhat hypocritical?perhaps though by having it fixed elsewher ei may make a point...and i know it is good when it works as it works when the adaptor is on...it just doesnt STOP working...haha

it is frustrating as i see great potential for it...perhaps it could be a 3.7v unit for me while the xhaler would be a HV...cant help feeling a bit greedy on that score though to keep both?

From the PS website:

For all your International
needs across the pond,
please visit our partner
The E-Cigs Academy

Have you tried contacting e-cigs about the switch? Maybe they can help.

I am unsure about this point but i will look into it? I believe they are just a supplier of ps products and get them sent from the US so i would have thought the aftercare would be US based regardless? There is no harm in my asking them about it so I will try this. Neither Casey nor Steve directed me to them so I did not think it was an option? what do you think?
