v2 of what? sorry if i'm totally out of the loop, but now you've got me curious!!!

ditc - we're talking about the Prodigy.

Some of us haven't received the version 1 we ordered a while back and now there appears to be a version 2 coming shortly.

The more I think about it, the more upset I'm getting.

Obviously, I don't know exactly what defects are in the version 1 for a version 2 to be created.

Anyway, I don't want an outdated model before I even get to use it. So I canceled my order and will wait and see what the version 2 brings.

I learned a very valuable lesson.

Ummm just so you know i have a prodigy v1 and i dont think there are any defects to it. its really a quality piece.
Its a lil bit big though for some peoples likes thus the V2 is being made its been stated by steve that it will probably be a smaller design with 3.7 volts/long battery life type model.
vrs the prodigy v1 being a bigger device with a higher voltage for enhanced vapor production model.

I don't care if the V1 is bigger - I want the higher volts - that's why I ordered it.

The way the OP stated his post led me to believe that V2 was more awesome with improvements over the V1.

So that leaves much to the imagination!

So if it's just the volts are going to be changed in the V2, why wouldn't you give it a different name then?

V2 Version 2 totally awesome say it however you will but its in the process of creation ill let steve let you in on this one when he feels ready....

Not to burst your bubble, but ..... V2 has been in the "process of creation" from the get go .... the "process of creation" being, rolling around inside Steve's head ... on the drawing board .. gathering ideas, input from the rest of us ..... and ummmmmmm we are all ( at least most all) aware of it .........

@mamu .. you are correct as well .... there is a "lesson to be learned" here today .... but I'm afraid it's not one regarding The Prodigy/Steve/PS ..... ;-)

I wasn't referring to Steve/PS when I said that. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Steve and what he is doing.

I was referring to ordering a product that was fresh on the market for the first time and that appeared to need a V2 before all of us even got our V1.

When a product becomes a V2 that means there are defects fixed and improvements made over the V1.

At least that's industry standards when you make subsequent versions of a product.

Mamu ....

The Prodigy V1 will always remain ... if we do updates, or make changes, that will fall under Prodigy V1.01 or something to that extent.

V2 is COMPLETELY different, and Likely won't even be called V2 considering it will be a completely different device.

hope that helps :)

Thanks Steve!

It would have been nice if the OP had clarified what he was talking about then.

All I saw was V2 and knew that I was getting a V1.

I hadn't been keeping up at all with what has been going on - was just waiting for what I ordered to be sent and then I saw this thread.

Hi mamu ... I guess I should edit that to read .. regarding the Prodigy ... but I think the real lesson I'm thinking of would be paying attention to the OP ... who seems to be tryingto get folks in a huff ....

The V1 is indeed amazing .... to the best of my knowledge there are no "defects", at least none found as of yet ..... I think the main "issue" for some people is the size .... and then for the V2 (if that's what he'll end up calling it ) is more like ideas/suggestions taken from our "wish list" .. you know .. the perfect PV would have ...................................

At any rate, you might want to reconsider canceling your order ....I have received mine, and I can honestly say, ... the Prodigy V1 is in fact amazing ..... :)

He announced the V2 at the same time he announced the V1 pre-order.

So, this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, and its probably going to be a few months before anyone has a V2 in hand anyway. I can't wait to get the V1, and will probably order a V2 when it comes in as well. Just my take.

OK - I understand where you all are coming from.

BUT I didn't know anything about a V2 - could be because I also wasn't here when the V1 pre-order was actually announced or talked about somewhere.

I know that some of you follow these threads here religiously, but I haven't. I simply placed my order and wait for it to arrive.

So yes, I was totally taken off-balance to see this thread.

I knew about the pre-order because when I ordered on the web site it said pre-order. I didn't order months ago like some, I only ordered about a couple of weeks ago.

What I'm trying to understand though, is why all the talk and hoopla about a V2 when not everyone has even received the V1?

Even if this V2 is not the Prodigy, shouldn't the focus be on getting everyone what they are waiting to get instead of spending time and energy about a model in the works?

This I don't understand!
