Thanks for the info. Actually this one I cut with an utility knife, but I'll use something else next time. That's why I asked about cracks because the knife took some pressure to cut. I was experimenting, so now I know to use a saw or Dremel next time. As far as how much I cut off, it ended up being about half the full length, but for me personally, I think next time I'll just half the length of the reservoir area. Now I just need to get some drip tips. I'd like to see SI carry some, even just basic ones, cause the one that comes with the CE3, to me, has too small an opening.

why do you have to use a drip tip?,,,i just take it off and drip 2 drops, then put it back on,it don't wear me out to much.,,,,LOL

Just feels too much like sucking on straw. I may just not cut any off and use it like that. Guess I'm not doing it for comfort anyway!

Heck, just get a comfort tip from SI. It has a normal size hole and is larger than the dripg style tips that come with the CE3s. Far more comfortable to use in my opinion.

They're on my list, kinda waiting for the T3's to finish rowing over before I order again! :p

So after getting past my initial troubles with the CE3's I now really like these things. About how many times can one expect to refill them, with just basic cleaning (flushing them out with water every few refills)?

a lot! :)

2 of the hardest working CE3s from my first pack (not SI) have been refilled 56 and 53 times and still work OK (other CE3s from that pack are still relatively "young" in their 30's :))

Out of SI CE3s I have one that's been refilled 49 times so far (others are at 39, 38, 29 - still "young".)

Now, I dry burn my CE3s from time to time so not quite sure about how long they'll last with just basic cleaning. But I remember that I took apart (to dry burn) my first SI CE3 after 19th refill for the first time - and coil was very clean (I used SI and Halo juice in it.) Second SI CE3 was opened for inspection and dry burn after 15th refill - that coil was dirty (but not too bad; used sweet flavors from AltCig in it.)

To summarize, after almost 4 months I have retired only 1 CE3 out of 10. And it was my my fault - aggressive dry burn and burnt coil as a result. About 300ml of liquid went through them so far by my estimates and I expect thay are good for at least another 300ml. :)

I''ve been averaging over a month with my CE3's. I tend to vape heavy juices (chocolates and coffees) so about every 7th fill or so (once a week) I do a complete clean including dry burn. Considering how much use I get out of these they are the cheepest device I've used and product excellent flavor. I'm going to keep on using these.

Are the T-3s in and leaking with dry hits? I was in a coma for a week or so and havent been keeping track.

My CE3s are starting to die off but I still have a good number of them. I turned my underwear unside out and vape through the pee hole just in case

that i would like to see,,,LOL

OMG ... NOT what I want to see ... I may have nightmares about this tonight.

I'm another avid CE3 user.

Sometimes I feel a bit weird having to use a syringe but otherwise, they have been awesome onece you get into a groove.

I have 3 go-to flavors and I fill 3 of each and that gets me through the week. If there's a gurgle in one, I'll vape it upside down until the gurgle goes away (which works 95% of the time) and it's good to go.

These things are bullet-proof and SI completely stands behind them. I will be upset if they ever stop selling these things. Love 'em.

Ok I've been using my ce3s for about a week, first one would not screw all the way in, but that didn't bother me till I tried it later on both other batteries, at first it was great. Then I filled it and it leaked everywhere, so I filled it up again but had to re adjust the post as it wouldn't screw in. That didn't work so I tried tightening till it spun at one spot at still had a gap. In the end I threw it out.

The next one how ever was much better, hardly leaks ever, 4th refill or so, though it is starting to gurgle. And for some of reason it won't screw all the way onto just one of the batteries but that doesn't worry me. It's been a fun learning curve, taste and vapour is well worth the minor gap and gurgle issues.

Yeah I tried that.. I didn't like dripping through the ce3. I cut part of the tube off and still didn't like. I put the tube back in on the short tube and it was a much better drip and easier to grab the post.

Not sure I follow, this is all I did...I didn't put the center post or top seal back in. Next time I get a leaker (crack) I'll do a better job of cutting the tube and also not quite so short.

If you look at your short one, that is how mine was.. I stuck the post back in.. The post would be bare. I always thought I would burn my lips but never did. I test my DIY that way. I also use an old different companies unsealed auto batts to drip on.

I should add it is not quite that short.. and it is a hack job.

hmmm, what difference did it make in the vapor/flavor compared to not having the post?

To me, it seemed the vapor would stay in the tube without the post. With the post in i got a better draw. I will say yours is a little shoter than what mine was. I stepped on in yesterday. Now i have to wait till i crack another one.

I see, says the blind man! :p I had cut mine before trying it (full length), with the shortness the vapor has to come out. I cut it thinking dripping would be easier, didn't even think about vapor having to build up before getting a full draw!
Funny isn't it, now we want one to crack so we can test with it! :D

Sitting down, facing forward.
I may cut one down and also cut the air tube down as well. The "stop" for the inner seal isn't wll that important for dripping anyway and I won't be using the inner seal anway. A dremel will make short work of both.

I just tried yet another method of reseurrecting a CE3 with no/low output. I soaked it in Spray Nine for a few days, yeah I know about flavors and chemicals. When I took it out of the Spray Nine I treated it to a brushing and then a "placque" removal with a dental pick, rinsed it and put it in a vodka soak. It sat in the vodka for three days, another brushing and rinse, a quick dry burn, re-assemble and it works like a champ once again. I wonder how many times this can be done and how long one will really last. I have two more "duds" soaking in Spray Nine right now. Man, am I cheap or what?

Not cheap, frugal! ;) I hate throwing something out if it's main function is still working, just needs a cleaning or tweak. I've 'recovered' several tools, kitchen appliances and the like with simple little repairs or sometimes just a quick clean! :D A side benefit is this kinda info will help a newbie or fellow vapers, and of course the personal satisfaction of figuring out and fixing something!:vapor:
