I wanted to buy 29g but RTD didn't have any that I saw. Going to buy that next. Ok...broken record here but this is for sure my fav BF atty. even wrong ohms, untightened screws and a wonky looking long leg, it's vaping awesome

Here's where I get my wire from Resistance Wire

I got this at lowes Shop Kobalt 18-Piece 5-in Multi-Bit Screwdriver at Lowes.com

Works great the plastic bit holder slides off.

Post a pic of your coil. the length of the legs adds to the ohms of the coil, moving the coil below slightly counter clockwise would shorten both legs and reduce the ohms of the coil.

This also helps with the airflow since the air hole is usually between the posts and side of the coil would face the hole.
Just need to make sure the coil body itself isn't touching any of the post.

The air holes on my 3 Chalice IIs are all offset not centered between the posts. In the picture above it would be at 3 o'clock, dead center with the fire button.

Yup. If posts are at 12 and 6 o'clock, hole would be at either 4-5 or 10-11 o'clock. Mine is at 10-11. Hence a slight counter clockwise rotation would put the coil 90* to the air hole. The difference is very subtle, but it was giving me enough differences in throat hit to notice it.

Bought a small screw driver, recoiled it and got .60Ω on the dot...exactly what I normally vape! I couldn't get the screws any tighter and if I tried, I know they would strip. So not sure how you guys are getting them screwed down so far. I'm using 28g so not sure if that makes a difference but it's vaping great and as long as there's no issues with the screws not flush down, I'm super happy with it!

as long as there tight don't worry about how much they stick up, they will stick up a bit with 28ga as that's about as heavy as you can go with stock posts

Ok cool! You guys had me worried a bit but...hit my ohms and vaping like a beast. I think this is the most mls I've vape in a short period of time ever.

Another build. Firing kinda hot, for .94. Not hot-leg hot, just a snappy-quick middle-first heat up. I think I did get it closer to the edge, but didn't notice that long leg on the right - I'll have to tuck that in when I rewick next. But funky as it is - it's vaping good.

A couple new things I'm noticing -

1 - I STILL LOVE the AFC. It's nice to have a control that's really effective.
2 - Getting less "darkening of the juice" - maybe it's better at draining so less liquid can get cooked but then make it back to the bottle on the next squonk? Or maybe it's something else - but the bottle's staying clearer than it does with all my other BF atties.
