Ok finally set up the Chalice III this AM. Hit my .60 Ω on first set up but can not figure out this AFC control. The atty itself after 2 vapes was SUPER hot. And it was making a ton of crack/popping noises so obviously doing something wrong. The Chalice II is quiet, stealth like and figured this one would be too.

Don't have time to play again till tomorrow but will get back at it. Any vid links re: the AFC, lining it up right an so forth would be appreciated. Plus I think my REO grand is acting very wonky. Hoping nothing is wrong with it :(

Make sure check with an ohm meter and the top, it's easy to get a full short or partial with the legs as close to wall as they end up.

Unscrew the top part above the AFC ring a little
the AFC ring should now spin freely
while drawing adjust the AFC to where you like it, (full open on mine are with the AFC holes above the outside edge of the C and just past the III.)
Once you get it where you want hold the ring in place and tighten the top part down.

Also I've found that unlike a RM2 or Cyclone, pulling the coil back away from the edge and air hole more towards the center works well for me.

Cool and thanks but....gotta send the REO in to get checked out and he's going to look at the Chalice too. I'm so bummed :(

Sorry the Reo isn't feeling well...

On the Chalice II:
- Sound is dependent on the build, and a little difference can make a big difference. I've had a poppy/sizzly setup, and a "whoosh" setup, and a near-silent setup. And they weren't that different. You could nudge the coil up or down, or rewick, and find a substantial change
- The AFC is so simple - just screw everything together finger snug. Now draw, and if possible, TURN the part with the lines and holes very slowly WHILE drawing. You will, in one full rotation go from CLOSED to FULL OPEN and every shade in between (as inside, the scooped out parts turn across the holes on top of the cap). When the draw is what you want, stop turning. FB says to loosen - but I don't find that necessary - the ring turns any time, but not loose - it stays where I leave it.

Well that's too bad, I wanted to give it a try while waiting to pick up a BF.

It says in the product description:

Is a bottom feeding atomiser made from stainless steel, the third version of the Chalice and can be used also for dripping.

It can be used as a dripper if you have the adapter for it which comes from Mark bugs and runs 23 euros. He just made a very limited batch of those though.

Vap,
It will leak a little on the pin conector of the mod, you just have to wipe it probably ones a day, or you can put somethig inside the pipe not to leak at all.
I am using it on my wae.

Mark Bugs You Rock! This atty is awesome and puts out lots of flavor and vapor. I have now a 26ga 8 wraps on a 1/16 jig and came out to approximately 0.65 ohms with Shiseido Japanese Organic Cotton and vaping great. I took a pic so you can see the coil placement. Originally had coil closer to air hole but think it is better a bit further back. Also besides just putting some cotton through the coil... I put just a tiny bit of cotton under the coil and it really enhances the flavor of your liquid. The pic looks gunky since I am vaping Dirty Monkey Vapeworks Brown Bomber and is 95+% VG NET tobacco flavor... tastes like a maduro cigar with a hint of sweet and a kiss of cool (think menthol without the menthol flavor). It is a very subtle, earthy flavor that makes an easy all-day vape. As always YMMV :)

It'll leak on you, no way to shut the BF hole.
Also, there's no well to speak of, as this was built from the ground up as a bottom feed atty
Simple. Get a SEALED 510-to-510 adapter. Empire Mods have them. I've done it before with Chalice II when I first received it and didn't have a bottom feeder yet. I have the adapter from years ago when I used to use HH 357 with a drip shield.

Like Mark said, you can use it now, but it will leak a bit on your 510. If it is spring loaded, I wouldn't do it because juice may get to the battery. If it is a sealed connection it might be ok. The adapter will ensure no leaky.
