People know where to get the best Atty. In case you dont e-vape.gr
If you can afford the best then go get it and you will love it just as much as I do.

If you cant afford the price and want to take a risk for $12 then go to the coop thread.
Most of the people in here defending the original are well respected. But make your point and try not to get ugly about it please. If you can afford all the high dollar wonders of the vape community then great. More power to you. I am really happy for you and your success. But to a point its starting to seem like bullying and denial. Denying people of a nice vape and entrance into Genesis atty's is the opposite of why ECF is here in the first place. So make your point and go vape your $400 rig. No one is mad at you.

Thanks for summarizing the point I was gong to make. All I see here is a bunch of people getting all upset because they *paid so much* for equipment that is now becoming much, much cheaper...

Is it exactly the same as a DID? NO...but it is definitely a much, much better bargain for the $$.

Edit: I also wanted to add that I despise the "exclusivity" of certain mods and systems... I don't wish to spend my time waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the *chance* to possibly own something made in super small quantities, and then paying out the *** to get my hands on one if I'm *lucky* enough to make the cut. And for those of us who do NOT make it in time, we're stuck with the profiteers in the classifieds selling said equipment at twice the price.

So when a decent system gets mass-produced in china and makes it easier to get your hands on a decent product, I say "have at it!". If the original creators of said products had found a way to mass-produce it faster, or make it less-exclusive, this wouldn't be as big of an issue as it is now. I don't mean to say it is the original creators' fault this happened, but it is only natural to *try* to copy perfection and sell it to the masses.

Not really, I don't get the point. In other words, by the above logic, the guy in Mississippi, who first played the E-A-B blues riff, is the the creator of blues, and all others are copies. I don't necessarily think so. Now if Mississippi put words to it and called it Delta, And another guy came along, plays the same 3 chords with the same words, and called it Delta, that's a copy. On the other hand Louisiana comes along, uses the 3 chords and adds another 2 or 3 riffs, sings new words and calls it lulu belle, it is not a copy, its an original. Was he influenced by Mississippi number 1, yes, but its not a steal.

For me example 2 is normal progression of idea, Example 1 is stealing. Just the way I look at it, not being judgmental, just my personal way of looking at things.

My point was, there are a few originals, and more copies, when folks start to say bad [insert your favorite copier here] for making a copy, you cant cry foul if you didnt create the original product especially in a black market, it just seems redundant to cry a foul over a single product when so many have copied and didnt get the same outcry, in this case, DiD is a copy of someone elses work, if you look at the Raidy's thread, you will see all kinds of variations of Genisis, in fact folks have even changed it's name to Genesis... hows that for copying? I don't disagree with progressions of an idea, but dont tell me the DID is an original creation when its not.

Alright kids, my DuD, fake DiD, DiD copy or DiDn't has arrived.....

First thoughts:

Not too bad. Came with some wick and wire and an allen key, kinda kool. That drip tip is pretty nice.

The threading on the POS post and nuts are far better than expected, really smooth and precise. Making a coil was pretty easy. The allen screws for the ground and fill hole are really small, try not to lose em. The ground allen screw made it a lil picky to screw down to the wire but it wasn't turrible.

The threading on the top cap and body are decent. Compared to the real DiD and other high ends like my bliSS, these threads aren't even close but it doesn't mean they are crap. The DuD's threads are nice and smooth but you can just tell that they are not as precise. The threading on the 510 connection is also not quite as precise, there is some wobble once screwed down. it you have a mod with a drip well it will stabilize it screwed all the way to the base but if not then there is some wobble (G-Tank, bliSS and the one real DiD I messed with didn't wobble at all)

So, I made a coil and filled her up. I think somebody said that the top cap air hole didn't line up with the wick......my air hole lined up directly with the wick and wick hole when screwed all the way down......maybe I just got lucky (the air hole on the Phoenix can vary from atty to atty). The first few hits seem to work very well, then started hitting a lil dry. It wouldn't wick my juice at all (50/50) if I tilted it then it would kinda get wet but would never keep up on it's own. Remove the fill hole screw and boom......wicking perfectly so far.

At first the taste wasn't quite there, the wicking fix also fixed that. Vapor is as expected from this style of atomizer....lots of it!!! I is actually performing extremely well! I would probably say that it is performing just about as good as my others.

Owning some high end pieces and having actually used a DiD for awhile, I feel this DuD is not as quite as good quality in some respects, in other aspects negligible difference. Those of us that have the good stuff can see it and feel the quality difference in the DuD but I think for somebody who has never touched some of the higher end atomizers, this would seem absolutely fantastic for $12 or even $29.99. Is it worth it's price point? Most definitely!!

Ok, all this info was from my first 20 minutes with this thing. Let me get through a full tank or so and I will get back with some pics and another update.

My apologies if I got ugly, that wasn't my intention.
From thread to thread, there is a lot of miscommunication, causing a lot of confusion and frustration.
If I hear it called a DID one more time, I'm going to say "PUT YOUR DUKES UP!!" lol. (and not so lol, cuz I kinda really mean it).
My apologies if I'm "hearing" it when it's not being said.

I'm lost... what $400 setup??

I'm lost... what waiting list?? The only lists are the co-ops when it comes to the DID copys. The original DID is easily available right from the store at e-vape.gr and they're only 100-ish bucks (89 euros). He closes shop for a few days a month, to get caught up with orders, but is usually never down for very long at all. Other gennys have lists a mile long. (hellfire, bliss, etc).
Again, confusion.

I Dont have the china set, yet but first off from what I heard its no question that it should not even be compared to the real thing. It just saddens me to see people becoming divided when all you have to do is think outside your personal situation. Its like getting upset and telling a guy that the 5 pack of carto's is a rip off and they should have bought the Orion. When I get to it and can afford it I will buy the Orion.

What about all the people buying the Cobra, or ZAP. Getting upset and calling them out? In my defense for whats coming. I could give a sht what its called. I call it "China Junk". :2c:

Now come on honey hold it down. In reference to what I said. I had only good intentions of making a valid point. Not to attack anyone. Surely the effort was only to show that Jim's fans (Me being one of them) can keep it civil. One way or the other people are going to buy the DUD (Thanks Spraintz). Jim has his following and a great rep. Not only for what he makes, but the company he keeps. So lets not tarnish that.

Did I do that? I don't remember doing that. My bad if you thought I did, because I had no intention of doing that. I live from payday to payday, I pounce on a good deal when I see one too. (heck! I'm down for a few of these COPIES myself!). Whatever it is I said that sounded like what you heard, I apologize! I'm truely offended by myself for this, for it was not my intention. Sometimes I just need more coffee, sometimes I need less. Peace! :vapor:

I honestly just wanted to make a genuine effort to put the drama fire out. Wasn't aiming at anyone in particular till you started talking about hurting people and quoting me. :p. No offense taken. Your good people, and I enjoy chatting with you.

Hon Lik applied for his first patent on the electronic cigarette in 2003 and subsequently introduced e cigs to the Chinese Market in the following year through his employer, Golden Dragon Holdings. Golden Dragon Holdings later changed the company name to “Ruyan” in order to better match the company’s name (Ruyan means “almost like smoke”) to the new product. Since the renaming, the Ruyan company has continued e cigarette development and grown to be one of the largest global e cig manufacturers.

In defense of the Chinese, when I started vaping 4 years ago everything was Chinese, the world copied and improved and now we get POed because they copy improvements to their patented device. Kind of ironic. I personally thank them for getting me off more than two packs a day.

I'm so lost, I can't even find where I quoted you and hurt feelings. I know that sometimes I'll respond to a quote, and then ramble on to other quotes and posts without remembering to quote them, which gets quite confusing, so I try to purposely not do that anymore and then there I go and do it a post or two ago ("I'm lost... I'm lost ...).....

I'm lost. Even so, I apologize.

I'm going to bow out of thread now, with another ((((( group hug ))))) and hope that everyone has a great vape day.

I really get uncomfortable when people on this forum flirt with outright racist comments about "the chinese" or whomever.

I don't know any "the" anything, but I do know people. If you want to flame a government policy, go for it, but please stop pelting entire races of people based on the creative fiction that you absorb from the 5 o clock news. The language is telling, even if we "know" what you mean. And more to the point if you believe what Jim tells you because he's nice and Greek, and disbelieve what person X tells you because he's X, then....well, you can finish that sentence.

We either accept the idea of intellectual property or we don't. If we do, Jim, Zen et al are guilty of 'theft' and the DID Cloners are guilty of a slightly more obnoxious theft.

If we don't, then these are all people selling their product, some being more rude about it than others.

I agree. Copy away! I personally am glad to see this. My only concern is materials used. Less expensive stainless steel compositions such as ferritic stainless steels contain lead. As we know, lead is an extremely toxic poison to humans. If the Chinese manufacturers made a DID Copy that I could be certain contained no lead, then I would happily buy it. Until then, I am just a little wary.

Does stainless contain lead? I searched on Matweb and couldn't find any stainless steel grades that contain lead.

Brass does often contain lead though and I believe some of the cheap rebuildables are made of plated brass. I got one of the Bulli copies (just to see what they were like) which I'm happy to use, but if the plating starts to chip away I'll probably throw it.

Pic from UK Vapers of whats under the plating..

I really dont know what you are talking about, stalking and cohorts. Seems you have some sort of issue here. Anyway, you said differently than what you have just posted. At least thats what I read. When DID came out everyone that had one or was interested in it was reading everything that everyone had to say about it. You had said you put the O-ring in before you even used it for extra condensation protection. Perhaps you forgot. I take exception that you would publicly again accuse me of stalking you. Just because Im pro DID and against the copying of his name for sure and your not is no reason to to behave in this fashion - IMO

Its one of the spare o-ring included in the kit...xtra condensation leakage protection (I hate wiping my RAs) and the drip tip that comes with it is really good, fits tight but I just tried a couple aftermarket here and they fit kinda loose compared to it

Thanks for the reply martinc

so is there some leakage through the top cap without the o-ring? And do you have any advice or tips for a new DID owner? I just ordered one and it will be my first RA.

I dont know,I dont think so,I just put that thing in there before I`ve even used it but I never heard of it leaking

As for advice,be patient, read what you can on making a mesh/coil,specially this one: Wrapping A Genesis Atty Using Rolling Paper - YouTube

For the rolling paper part;disregard the VG mention (go PG) and the paper clip would be better if it were stainless

O....M....G.....

Go get a life

Edit: wrong thread and thnx for proving my point

Really your always cool with me and I am always cool with you. It was really not as bad as you might think. It was the part that I said something about the $400 set up. Maybe someone else said it too though.

Whats funny in all this is I learned something the hard way tonight. My $40 knock off lava tube. Its in parts on my desk after one short week. Screwed the DID on it once and went to put a clear tank on it. Now I know why I was having so many issues with dry hits.

Thank God I bought from a good vender. Got my money back with shipping and dont have to send back within 10 minutes of the phone call.
Getting the telescope next and crossing my fingers. Thanks to this knock off I can set up for high wattage and lower wattage in a mechanical mod (10 and 20 watts).
Should I set up the cheap mini for 10 watts and the full DID for 20, or the other way around?
