Ugh..sorry to hear that Sweetab! I am starting to feel the irritation of not having my debit card myself even though I'm glad I caught it early. Pulled it out to buy gas today and then remembered I couldn't use it and had to go in and pay cash, then go back in and get change..PITA. Jerks. It's too cold and windy here for that nonsense..I want to swipe, put the pump in the car, and get back in out of the wind! I sure hope they catch the people behind this.

Just found out today! I have to travel, so I hope I can get a replacement in time...

thanks for the heads up-got me finally to set up on-line banking to check and watch out for. (after reading this thread and seeing so many affected no matter what card used) Making me re-think my use of card in general anymore, using more pre-paids for vape supplies in 2014(my only resolution so far)

Greetings, Ladies and Gentlemen. I have not been visiting as much as I should, obviously. My bank shut my card down two days ago due to this particular charge being attempted repeatedly. I have got a new card on the way, but I have wondered where this problem came from( out of the blue, as it were). I have not made a vape related purchase in six weeks or more, yet here I find that a LOT of vapers have been jacked. I will not be using the new card for any vape related purchases.

I've said this before, but I think it is most likely a breach in the CC processor's security. It doesn't seem to be connected to any one vendor, and there is a huge thread on Amazon about it. Not everyone who was hit on that thread had used that particular card at Amazon, either, though.

To those who are (sadly) new to the thread, LisaR is right...there's a few web sites where this is being discussed, and folks aren't finding a common denominator at all, in fact some people have said that the cards they've had hit haven't been used on line whatsoever. It's certainly not vape related directly, not just Target customers either...the card processor theory is as good as any.

Keep a close eye on your accounts everyone!!! I got hit, hate to see it happen to anyone!!

i went ahead and called my cc company to request a new card with new acct # and all future vape purchases will be made on my $300 card instead of my $20k card.

That's wise choice, but...

Near as anyone can tell, this has NOTHING at all to do with vape purchases, Target purchases, sex toy purchases or anything of the sort. The breach occurred somewhere downstream and is independent of usage. Someone compromised a lot of cards.... a LOT... maybe millions....

And as someone said, I am VERY surprised that I haven't heard about this on the news yet. This is as big, if not bigger, than the Target breach since this one actually has charges so far (Target just says cards were compromised).
