I got a package from Bucky's today in the mail.
Ordered Friday, arrived on Tuesday. Thats pretty quick!
One SS, and one Brass.
First thought....Did these come with batteries in them??
The weight and heft revile my Poldiac.( Unfortunately the fit and finish do not )
Not to say that for the price these CYC are a bargin.
I wish I was able to use the Kick-ring at the top of the tube, but it was a no go.
ALL of the parts swapped out with one another. Even the locking ring and the air control ring.
The locking ring is an issue IMO. When you screw it towards the body it gets stuck. Then you end up unscrewing the whole bottom switch housing. Why didnt they reverse thread it??? Dah!!!
I went out on a limb and added a couple of drops of blue lock-tight (medium) to the switch housing/tube. I will let it set for a day or two, then see what it takes to unscrew that joint.
Silver plated pins, top and bottom, all the seams were flush. thread were good.
The other issue has been mentioned before. No insulator for the battery to sit on in the housing switch. No biggie for me my batterries are fully wrapped at the base.
The switch works great right out of the box. Short smooth throw. The spring tension is spot on. I personally wouldnt set it down with out using the lock ring. Would it fire if you did? Maybe.... Maybe not.. Why take the risk?? It take less than 5 seconds to engage the locking ring. A good habit to get into.
I will use one in the 18650 mode. And the other in the 18500 mode.
They both hit very well. I pt Nolox on all threads, just cause.
Here they are
