I agree..and when you have kids there's just some things you don't do that's all.

and the amount nicotine in exhaled vapor was negligible it's measured in µg's and not even a whole number it was point something or other and I'm not sure if y'all have any experience with that measurement but it's TINY it's a microgram.

(1000 micrograms = 1 milligram)

It's all prejudice from the masses. Prejudice is not only against race, it includes a lot: Prejudice - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

For BP and junk scientists it's about money. These latter ones chant their junk science and the masses are the enforcers through prejudice.

It is that simple.

All my three kids are now men and woman, my youngest is 26. But when they were growing up no one dared to tell me how to raise them because I would immediately ask for their name and address so they could pay my bills. Of course they refused, that put an end to the discussion.

Ginny - there's a difference between spending the night in a bar and dropping in for 5 minutes in a shop to buy something.

Regarding inhaled danger I would think that having your kid in the car while pumping gas is in the same ballpark. Should gas stations be +18 including passengers?
And let's not forget about the toxins found in scented candles. People have zero problems lighting one of these around children even though studies have suggested they have as many toxins as cigarettes.

Yea, I'm stuck on this as well. The convenience store sells beer and cigs, is that an adult business? In FL, you can take your kids to the bar with you up until 9:00PM. You have to be 21 to purchase a handgun and 18 for rifles (from licensed dealers) does that make the gun store an adult business that a kids should not be in?

One of the vape shops I frequent also sells little miniature cars and motorcycles (almost toy like).to me, this puts them in the same category as the convenience store (some age restricted items, some for everyone).

About the only place I really consider an adult business is one that sells "adult novelties" (aka marital aids)[/QUOTE

No in Florida you cannot take your child into a bar with you until 9pm. (unless the bar serves food) Or maybe it is a county by county thing?

Children are not suppose to be brought into liquer stores either.

As for vape shops..... I do not think that children should be hanging out in a vape shop. If someone just needs to run in really quick for something then I do not have a problem with that.
My reasoning for this is that vape shops are not designed to entertain children. There is nothing there for them.

I disgree with the convenience store analogy. Publix sells beer and cigarettes and so does walmart and walgreens.
The difference is that people are not drinking and smoking in those buildings.
Unlike a vape shop where people are vaping.

Although I do not believe that vapor is harmful via secondhand, I do believe that some places beyond adult stores are not meant for children.

Here in Michigan you can take a child into any drinking establishment until 9PM.

Do y'all see a problem with a minor (say 11-15) vaping zero nicotine juice?
I'd rather see them vaping unflavored nicotine juice than I would see them vaping flavored zero nicotine juice.

I don't consider nicotine dangerous, nor addictive for never-smokers.
It's the flavors that concern me most.

Maybe it is a county by county thing. If so, all three counties near me have the same rule. In fact, some have signs that actually specify the minor cut off time.

I'd rather see them doing none of the above but that won't happen. Kids will gradually lose interest in their teddy bears and will be looking for some novel toys.

How odd. Why would anyone bring their child into a bar anyways? Like getting drunk with your kid there at 1pm is safer than after 9pm?

I've wondered about that sort of thing here in GA, which cuts off alcohol sales in stores at 11:50pm -- as if alcohol purchased at or after midnight was somehow more harmful than the snootful you had before midnight???

Interestingly, here in GA (at least in the Atlanta area) you can't bring a child into a bar at all no matter what time....and it's got nothing to do with alcohol and everything to do with smoking. We used to go to this great burger place called the Vortex. Then they made a ruling that minors couldn't go into "bars" and a restaurant that served alcohol and allowed smoking had to decide if they were going to call themselves a bar or a restaurant. If they call themselves a restaurant they can not allow smoking at all. If they call themselves a bar they can not allow minors. The Vortex called itself a bar so we can't go there any longer, at least with our kids.

Alcohol isn't just about getting drunk and a Pub has a far better lunch then a Mc Donalds or some family diner.

Still, (not that it means anything to me as a non-drinker non-smoker) at least here in GA you can go into a bar and actually smoke while you're drinking, which apparently isn't true in a lot of places nowadays -- and there's none of that stupid crap about not smoking in the car with your kids; if I hadn't smoked while driving, I'd have been a far more scattered and absent-minded driver, particularly with the kid in the car! The 2nd-hand smoke risk pales in comparison to the immediate risk of a fatal accident!
