My last vehicle was american made & I felt good on purchasing it, but when the engine blew up with only 100k miles on it I'm totaly disgusted with american made vehicles. Did some research on the web & my problem was not unique, seems the same happened to that model & year quite often with no hep from mfg. Was really expecting that vehicle to last another 5 yrs atleast, now I can't even afford a used replacement. Should have bought a Toyota:ohmy:

I had a Honda once and the same thing happened @ 80k. I will never buy a foreign made car again, they disgust me.

All the "American" cars are made with China or Mexican made parts. Nothing was "made" here it might have been assembled and maybe designed here but that's as far as this country's industry goes. Also I had a Hyndai (South Korean) drove it down to 110k miles gave it to my Son (still driving it) well over 150k miles now and still kicking. Judging how good or bad a product (car, pv, whatever) might be by where it was made is pretty lame. Good products and bad products are made EVERYWHERE, yes bad products have been made here in the good 'ol USA too.

While I hate that we have given so much to off shore, It isn't just china. They are just the easy target for an e-cig board.
I also realize Cheap China product has kept many Americans employed(hello Walmart ,B&M owners, etc.) as well as making it possible for lower income class to make purchases without giving up on housing, transportation and running water.

Not suse where people are getting their $ numbers from, but a lot of green is staying right Here when products are purchased.
Kanger Protanks for $20+...............I paid $9, gift packaged with extras.
Mods - No need even going there. Why should I even consider giving an entrepreneur 1-2 weeks net income for something I could purchase at 1/10th the cost and pay my bills on time?

Nuff, rant off

It's more complicated than that.

I'm OK buying Chinese products if they are original designs. I have no problem with Innokin's or Kanger's stuff.

I try to avoid buying Chinese knock-offs, but sometimes that's the only way to get a product. Try finding a real KFL+ right now; you can't; they're sold out everywhere. Is the Russian 91% a knock-off? Yes, but at least Kebo is honest enough to put a different finish and a different name and logo on it.

I absolutely will not buy a Chinese counterfeit; i.e. something that has the original manufacturer's name and logo on it (and may even say 'Made in USA' or 'Made in Germany') because making and selling stuff like that is trading on someone else's reputation, which is downright dishonest.

The Russian 91 was also built slightly different I don't mind that, But completely copying the original design now that is wrong on so many levels.

Also NiNi I am not criticizing anyone.

Ok lets start with this, This is my point of view if I offend you in anyway I'm sorry.

I was just randomly browsing videos on youtube and I came across RiPTrippers page, On one of his videos he mentions that china is good for our economy. That is 100% false, Its because of china and our government spending's that we are so far in debt.

All of these made in china clones that are out, are inferior products. Yes some are really good clones. But that clone is poorly made and will give before the authentic version does. I for one am 100% against made in china. Look around 95% if not more around your house is from china.

Here's a video I highly recommend watching, its available on netflix and its called "Death by china". Our economy is being flooded with cheap knockoffs. Not just vape equipment, china joining the trades was one of the worst thing to have ever happen to our economy.

What are your views on clones? Would you buy a clone or avoid them at all cost?

There are many reasons our country is failing, but at the HEART of this failure, we have NO ONE to blame but ourSELVES. Through greed and corruption we have become a nation of debt, through the FED and banking practices. Had china not ever existed, things would very well likely be just as grimm as they are today for our country.

The fact is, the world is going through growing pains. In just a short span of a few hundred years, pretty much every nation on this planet has gone from being relatively isolated with the exception of minor trading, to becoming involved in a global infastructure. It was never possible for this to be a smooth ride, for ANY country. Things are changing, at an exponential rate, and no one knows how this human experiment is going to end up.

Having said that, I understand your frustration at symptoms of this globalization, such as global trading, but realistically it is inevitable.

We are 'supposed' to believe in a free market, right? Well, China is doing just that. If we actually were as strong as we would like to think....we wouldn't NEED to buy 'inferior' products as you call them, as a cheaper price. The fact is, people buy what they WANT. Whether it is from China, or made in the US, people want what satisfies their needs.

You see an inferior product, and part of that is your bias, as you admittedly avoid ALL THINGS CHINESE. I see it at competition, that prevents the US companies from over-charging, and remaining stagnant in product design.

Then you must have done something wrong. Hondas don't die @ 80k miles. I would say you didn't change the timing belt but those aren't usually due until 100k.
I did have a Prelude that blew a timing belt @ 105k and totaled the engine but that was my own fault for not doing the timing belt. Every other Honda I've had has been still going strong @ 220k+. I wouldn't touch an American car if you gave it to me.
But we're talking china here, not Japanese...

Yes, lets blame China instead of the thousands of US companies that outsourced to them. That makes sense. Let's blame the Chinese people instead of the US citizens that demand a decent quality product at a lower price. Sure, most US manufactured products are higher quality, but why should the lower income portion of the population have to choose between school clothes or food?

The fact is, every Chinese product you buy from big name chain stores are marked up ridiculously high, therefor profit is going into the hands of people right here in the states. Everything bought in those same stores generates tax revenue. It's not hurting us as bad as some would like you to believe.

As for vape gear clones goes, why should those same lower income people have to save for decent gear, when most of it isn't US made in the first place? If that was the case they may as well still be smoking. At least they would still be supporting US made products.

I buy both. You need to understand that a lot of vapers live paycheck to paycheck. Some are 18-21 and are in school. Others have families. They can't afford our justify spending 200 to 400 dollars on a mod. Then 80 to 150 on rbas..
I buy both. Buying a stingray mod for 200 and I have an hcigar nemesis. Put yourself in others shoes. A lot of clones are good. People want a good looking mod for cheap. Clones are good for them. Unless vendors make authentic that have good aesthetics and are cheap.

I don't blame just china for the way our economy is, I blame our government, I blame the ones the out sourced the jobs, I blame the companies that support it such as walmart. We need more US based companies, More jobs and need to stop giving money away to countries that hate us.

I do understand most people live paycheck to paycheck, I am one of these people. I make 940 a month each check is gone before I get it. I manage to get my supplies with money I saved from smoking.

Consumers dictate where things are made far more than do corporations.
