My washing machine experience involves dirty clothes, detergent and various other additives. I suppose I could fix it if it broke, but it isn't all that old so I doubt I'll have to. Now watch, I just jinxed myself and it'll "soil the sheets" when I do laundry on Friday.

How about chain saws? There's a nice manly subject!

Dont ask I have two to fix now. Someone borrowed them and did not winterize. Stabile, With the ethonol in the carbs it eats them up.
Now two carburator rebuilds, If not two new carburators. Same for the Pressure washer!!!! The generator needs a carb clean too. Both the Pressure washer and generator runs and winterized (No fuel in carbs). I still got thru the carbs in spring. also get spark plugs for all equipment.

Well, Rabbit, earlier you guys had a pretty good discussion about lawn tractors and wood chippers (or was it mulchers?) going on.

I'm a Florida girl, native born. Did I ever tell you guys about the first time I ever went (snow) skiing? Nobody told me that you really shouldn't go off the trails...and I never did learn how to "snowplow", my hips and knees don't work that was. So, my second day on the slopes, I was getting tired of just laying down when I picked up too much speed, so I figured I'd go off the trail where the snow looked softer--that should slow me down, right? Right!! I sunk. I sunk up to my hips. I'm a real good learner, and I remembered how you get out of the bindings, so I reached my pole down in there, and pushed...and sunk lower. Everything I did, just sunk me lower, and then............I started to laugh. That's right: I sunk some more. And everyone that came over to help started laughing, too. I was up to my armpits by the time we'd laughed ourselves out and they pulled me up on the trail. No one could explain to me how they overlooked telling me that one simple rule: stay on the trail.

Well I tried to fix it. The problem is the agitator motor with the PCB board and a fuse. The motor with the PCB board cost $325 shipped.
So new washer for me!!!!!!!!

Don't forget to get the warranty! At least the 2-year renewable plan.

Obie has never been a bad goat. One time, I bent over to pick something up in the pen and he butted me in the rump I turned around and told him he was a bad goat! He never did it again. You have to be careful around the horns because it would be easy to get bonked by accident if he tossed his head. They make pretty good handles for holding him when one of has to hold him and the other is giving wormer or trimming his feet. You can kind of drag him around by his horns but it is a lot easier just to bribe him by shaking a can with oats in it.

We have the dogs come into the pen and they hold the goats on the goat toy. The goat toy is a platform about three feet high, two and a half feet wide and 8 feet long. There are mobile home stairs we got at a yard sale on one end and a ramp on the other. They climb up there if there are strangers or strange dogs in the neighborhood and they take naps up there sometimes.

The dogs hold the goats and then we can work on them if need be. When the gate is closed, Obie runs over to the fence and shakes his big scary horns at the dogs but when the gate opens, he runs for the goat toy Goats are pretty smart as farm animals go.

The goats are probably about 5 years old so they are full grown. They still play on occasion by butting heads with one another and racing around the goat shed. Pretty funny.

Some people have the horse and goats together but a lot of people think that is a bad idea. Goats will chew on the horse's manes and tails. Obie could hurt the horse or the horse could hurt the smaller goats so I built the horse pen next to the goats so they could keep the horse company without actually being in the same pen.

I like to get Wiseguy the horse a horsey friend but I am waiting until I can at least build a round pen where I could separate the two horses if I needed to. Plus, horses aren't cheap to keep so it is easy to put off getting another. Wiseguy seems pretty happy with his current set up.

I used to ski, too, but the boots became so painful that I decided it wasn't worth it. And I didn't like skiing enough to risk a broken leg. So then I go and hurt myself with horses. But horses are worth the risk to me.

The one at Tractor Supply has been tested (by a few ECF scientist types) and compared extensively to the PG that says it's "Food Grade" (in addition to USP), and they said it was the same. That's the only reason I started using it - cuz yeah, it did freak me out a little that it was from Tractor Supply, and not some laboratory. Plus there's my severely limited budget - if you do the math, it's a lot cheaper. And I use it a lot, so having so much of it on hand is very convenient. But a gallon to have around is a lot if you're not DIYing. And it's the wrong base for aromatherapy (haha, I tried).

And just to let you know, some people have complained about the VG from Walmart. I don't use that as often, so I usually just order that with my nic from Wizard Labs. To get my 6mg nic in 80PG/20VG, I order my 60mg nic in 100%VG, order the same amount of plain VG, and add my own PG.

Another source is Essential Depot, for both PG & VG. Theirs does say "food grade." Prices are good, but shipping is sky-high. But once in awhile they have free shipping specials.

Kit I think we were all a little nervous at first about vaping public,but you never know who's life you maybe be helping b/c someone is eventually going to ask you about ecigs. That's the way I looked at it anyway and helped me get over my nervousness it will pass and then you'll be proudly vaping in public.
I'm a die hard Smokeless Image fan their products are reliable,affordable,CS is fantastic, and they are always there to answer any questions you may have. Matter of fact when I first started researching and was looking at all the different stuff out there they were the only vendor to "pop" up and ask if they could help me. They didn't try to push the Volts on me,they just wanted to help. That says a lot. I do use liquids from different vendors but my equipment is always going to be from SI.
Bottom line,its all with what you are comfortable with. Vaping is a personal adventure. It CAN be overwhelming at first but you have a lot of great supportive folks here with a lot of knowledge. Its been said before,there are NO stupid questions. Best of luck to you I know you'll find what is right for you

I never winterize anything and have never had a problem, I do have a trick though. I start and run everything once a month, whether I plan on using it or not. All summer the snow blower gets fired up and run for a half hour every month and I do the same all winter. I do the same thing with the chain saw, blower, weed wacker and lawn tractor, although I do use the tractor year around between hauling and mowing. It can be a little hard getting things started when it's really cold, like in 20 or so, but a little shot of ether can help that problem. I am very stingy with the ether because of the detonation it causes if over used though.

I'm sure Uncle is lurking around, Blues is probably "on the mend" from his last post, but I do wonder about Holly and Rave as well.

I used to ice skate a lot and can still get around a rink without falling, too often anyway, but the knees ain't what they used to be for sure. I went skiing once about 20 years ago. When I got off the lift at the top, the guy next to me, my sons friend, stuck his pole between my legs as I skied forward and we both went down in a heap. They had to shut the lift down because of the domino effect as everyone behind us piled on. Then I got to the top of the hill, a beginners hill, and looked down. I said to myself "you've got to be out of your mind, you're walking down!" Then I realized I was wearing ski boots and walking wasn't very practical, especially on a slope like that so I bit the bullet and had at it. I never even stopped for lunch and they had to chase me off the hill when they shut the place down for overnight maintenance. Unfortunately, between the knees and the back I don't think I better try it again although it was great fun and great exercise. Now if they could make it work in warm weather it'd be the best thing since bottled beer!

Seal it with what? Clear topcoat nailpolish? I hesitate because I don't want to ruin the battery's finish. Also, what is the best thing to use to clean the battery without changing the rubbery smooth finish?

You will loose the matte finish. Yes topcoat nailpolish is recommended on the girly thread. Rave may have answered already. She's done some cool stuff.

I agree. Perhaps I won't bother with the feed store. If it says for animal consumption only, I'd rather not use it. I'm not that cheap to order some human grade stuff!

our local Running's has PG @ 2 different prices.
Both are identically labeled including USP purity. Someone on another thread is using it. The spendier one reasoning probably better quality. Overall I believe the reasoning is it IS cheap. That's why it's in many food products like ice cream.

Time for my second cup of coffee. Christmas blend this morning. Yeah, Hubby got me a couple of extra bags before the end of the year.

I still think that DIY isn't for everyone. ... get a dose of nicotine. Or something doesn't get down to doggie level because Penny could hurt herself. Also, I love the SI flavors. 555, Ry4, Freedom, Watermelon - they are yummy.

I LOVE almond milk! I've only had the original flavor but I might sample the chocolate soon. Now, I only use regular cow's milk for cooking.

I don't think we have a place called the Tractor Store. I think when I get my feet wet with DIY stuff, I'll just play it safe and buy the stuff from WL.

Right now I'm so new to vaping so I really haven't gotten my favorite flavor down enough to know what I want to try. I'm back and forth on sweet and tobacco flavors. I really don't want to have a bunch of bottles in my pantry just quite yet. I'm trying to learn as much as I can before I take the plunge. But, I do want the cost savings so I expect I will be ordering something in the very near future.

Obie is a large goat. He is Nubian/Boer cross. We are guessing that he weighs about what I do or 150 to 160 pounds. The Boers are meat goats and the Nubians are dairy goats. He was handled a lot when he was a baby so he is very friendly.

The little guys are Nigerian Dwarfs. Spot and Taffy. Spot is skiddish and doesn't like to be petted. Taffy has gotten better about being touched.

We got three goats because I thought three goats would be a herd.

Are they good pets, Cindy? These goats are all wethers so they are neutered males. An intact male goat reeks but apparently lady goats find that attractive. Go figure.

I like them.

They will eat all your roses if they get out of the pen. As a gardener, I don't appreciate them eating my plants so I don't let them wander the property without supervision. They are escape artists but we have had pretty good luck by putting up no climb horse wire instead of regular wire. We have had to fix the corners as they broke the staples and then the wires and now we have thick wire wrapped around the posts and we check it. Taffy has gotten out of the gate a couple of times by squeezing through a crack.

They will often use cars as toys to climb on. They can be a bit stubborn. You are supposed to worm them twice a year. They get shots in the spring. They have to have a block of sheep's salt with copper in it. Horses do not need copper so he gets a whole different salt block. You have to trim their feet and that is a two person job.

Seems to me goats are often used as companions for horses. I'd toyed with getting one for milk. I think I'll keep toying - indefinitely.

Sandy, just keep working that shoulder. Don't push it, but stretch the limits a little at a time. Above, keep up the PT until it feels as normal as possible.

Well said Awsum! Slowly get a gentle stretch and hold up to 2 minutes has been my instructions after PT. Several times a day...

Hey!!! We women like to read the "manly" discussions too! Learn a lot from them! I'll have to let hubby know about starting up lawn care stuff through the winter months. Great idea! See? We women get good info from the "manly men" posts too.

I subscribe to an email newsletter about "Anti Smoking" and today there was a post concerning the Total Ban of e-cigarettes in Great Britan. The following post was in a newspaper the Gardian written by Lionel Shriver a novelist and seems more that justified in my opinion:

I also read that in India the government is attempting to stop ALL smoking of any type and has bans in effect for the sale of all tobacco products including e-cigarettes even without nicotine. What a bunch of idiots.
