I disagree completely with this. This is where survival of the fittest comes into play. One of natures laws that has been circumvented for way too long.

You could then say that we shouldn't cure diseases or put premature infants in incubators and things like that. After all, weren't those people meant to die if they had been in the wild without medical care? Our society is based on taking care of people, and this is why there are laws enacted for people's good. Right or wrong, this is the world we live in, with all its advantages and disadvantages.

I think quality standards are fine, if that would be the only thing the FDA regulates. I think the FDA realizes the loss of revenue of all the exsmokers turned vapers. There is little to no sales tax going in because of online sales, and then the state mandated tax per pack that are lost. To top that off, vapers are healing and may not go into smoking related health issues, so big pharma is losing money too.

I don't have any faith in the FDA trying to make vaping safe. It's all about the uncontrolled revenue stream they see and which pocketbook it goes into.

They soaked the smokers, and now they are trying to violate the vapers!

That's my :2c: . Getting off my FDA hate soapbox now.

You have a point, and I'm sure finances are entering into it. They will probably tax e-cigs and all the accoutrements. Many things I order online are taxed. It used to be that if you ordered something from out of state, you didn't pay sales tax, but they saw they were losing revenue, so I think now we pay more taxes on stuff ordered online.

Sandy Su, you may be right, but my real fear here is who is going to protect us from an interfering nanny state that does not think we are capable of making decisions for ourselve. Just take a look at mayor Bloomberg & you will see a face on what I'm talking about. No soda pop , no trans fat, no popcorn, What is next?

You forgot no salt and no guns. Next will be no thoughts that don't agree with his.

I think the whole thrust of the FDA/e-cig thing, read government intervention, is the revenue stream it can generate. There have been tons of studies regarding the safety of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin already and they are GRAS. More money to pour down some pork project rat hole like an airport nobody uses or a bridge that gets no traffic. Just look at the Hurricane Sandy 6 billion dollar legislation that passed with money to fix roofs, algae growers and electric motorcycle batteries. I'll bet the crap in that one alone was two or three billion. Then they tell us that's how business is done in Washington. Maybe that's what's wrong in Washington and why they keep looking for new "revenue streams".

Off my soapbox, but it does get me a little riled.

Awsum, you are as right as rain. In Washington it's always about the money. "Lets tell the people what they want to hear , heck they will belive anything we tell them". That is the mindset of the government bureaucrats. All they want is money because it equqls power. They don't give a rip about what is right. If you don't belive it just look at the propose 3 mg rule, then tell me how wrong I am.

Off my soap box too.

It's politics. It'll do it every time. Wasn't there some rule of etiquette that said never to discuss politics or religion?

Ahh, but I'm discussing proposed regulations and the motivations behind that. I never mentioned a Political party, and remember, by its' very nature anything political can never be correct.

I love it! Your photos are very different from mine, but they have a sparse beauty that appeals to me. I'll have to dig through mine and see if I have anything similar, but I'm afraid they won't compare with yours. I've attempted to capture sparse beauty, but never too successfully.

Great News Everybody! Smokeless Image is introducing the variable voltage X2 THIS WEEK!

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/smokeless-image/369239-brand-new-vv-volt-spinner-comming-week.html

Imagine just posted it! :rickroll:

Oh my gosh!!! I have to get one!!!

But I'm gonna wait to see if I get my current order. My order last month showed it was out for delivery, but didn't get here. It was either lost or delivered to the wrong address. The order that's in transit now went to Cleveland! That's all the way to the north in Ohio and I live in the SW corner. Online tracking shows it left Cleveland yesterday but has no further information yet. Surely this one will get to me. The post office couldn't lose two orders in a row...... could they?

Butch, I love the black and white. That's what I grew up on when I was in the High School journalism class. Our yearbook was 90% black and white so I tend to lean towards black and white with great memories. I also have my home decorated in southwestern. Those photos would look great in my home!

Please continue to share as Sandy has graciously done! I think I speak for all of us volties, we are enjoying both of your work!
