hey look alice...im showing her......your on thread...yes she is a queen....she loves her weekly warm baths...her own shampoo and conditioner...which is dearer then mine...then she has a blow dry..this new cat aloe conditioners are great...cat safe..she smells like a sweet powder puff...

Isn't it weird how so often we take better care of our animals than we do ourselves? I'm the same way. My animals have all their shots, but I'm still waffling about getting a shingles shot, though I had chicken pox as a kid, so I really should. My excuse is that I've had plenty of medical stuff going on lately. I don't need to add to it right now. But I know that's just an excuse, not a real reason.

Sorry fot taking so long to get back to you Sandy. I don't have much time during the week as I go to work early & get home late. That rock & the one in the upper left corner are both parts of the Paloduro canyon escarpment, altho these are not in the park area. I think I have some more of them & will try to post next weekend. Meanwhile here is an old iron wheel moleboard plow that I thought would look good.

Butch! I so love your pictures and the colortone of this is amazing... kind of bronze or copper tone? Never before would I have thought pictures of farm equipment would be this good. Thanks for sharing and please continue to do so when you have the time. I'm really enjoying them.

I think that color is called sepia tone, and it's nice for pictures of old stuff, since it gives it an antique look. Butch's photos are wonderful, and I can't wait to see more.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I'm watching a live rescue of a woman stuck in a one foot space between two walls in Portland, Oregon. She's been there since three in the morning and the firefighters are using masonry saws to cut the wall open to get her out. One do has to wonder how in the heck she got in there in the first place, especially at three in the morning. They've got a hole cut and can see and talk to her. Now they know exactly where she is it shouldn't be a big problem to cut the wall around her and she'll sort of "pop" out. Wonder is she was "over the legal limit" or just fooling around. In either of those cases I hope they give her the bill for the rescue and fixing the wall.

It's snowing here right now. It started sometime in the night, and it's still coming down. It's not very cold, though, so it may change to rain later in the day. Still, I think it's prettier than bare ground in winter. So, to fit in with the weather here, I'm offering another winter photo.

I'm glad you came clean about your age. It's OK to be 52. Lots of us are way older than that -- me, for instance. I don't really mind aging or getting wrinkles; I just don't like my body breaking down and refusing to function. At least with the physical therapy, I'm doing the best I can with that aspect. I was getting really fit working for Cornell Catering, too, till the arm broke. I think the subsequent inactivity has not been good for me. What I think keeps me young is exercise. Debra, do you go for a walk every day? Well, in the heat you've had, I guess you're excused, but maybe at night when it cools down? I know that if I walk at least a mile every day, I feel a lot better. If it's too hot for walking, do you have a place where you can go swimming?

Another reason that you're so fit is because you ride horses. That in and of itself, will keep you in shape. I've been on a horse a couple of times and I believe I worked muscles that I didn't even know I had... just to stay on. That was many years ago but the day after riding, I was pretty sore. From what I gather from your stories, you've been riding most if not all your life. Now you are walking while you're arm is healing. No wonder your body is toned. Also, you look great in your picture!

I see what you mean about the skulls. I don't know how old it is, but it's a large willow. They grow fast so it may not be as old as some other trees of that size. I like spooky trees. I think there's something appealing about twisted, gnarled branches. How about these, for instance?

Get the shingles shot! Don't wait if you had chicken pox as a kid. My mother suffers from episodes caused by shingles and the pain can be agonizing. I hate to see her going through that. I never got the chicken pox as a kid but I talked to my doctor about getting the vaccine to avoid chicken pox. I've heard that getting chicken pox at my age (60+) can be as bad as shingles. He didn't have any on my visit yesterday but he is getting it for my next visit.

<--- is having browser issues.. had to uninstall both waterfox and firefox..then reinstall--

and still I'm not right with the forums. FINDING the area to post this has been a party *smell the sarcasm*

and my tools /options panel is all wacko

too.. only displays the bottom part.. top part is buried off screen on top and I cannot get ahold of it to slide it down unless I adjust my screen rez to something gawd awful weird.

I'll be back and posting when I get this nonsense squared away

It's only displaying outline format.. grumble...
