Nope....try again. No animal.

A little boy's boat, with tattered sails, from the previous summer?
Stepping-stones!!!!
Or a beaver-den, with mamma sunning herself.
Let's see what you do with all that.
I need to get back to work.
I've been contemplating what to draw next. I keep looking at that snowy river photo you posted awhile back but I don't like all those sticks in the river. They look ugly and would be hard to draw. I want to put something there that would lead the eye down the river into the background but I haven't decided what. Any suggestions?
I just looked at the photo. Is it the sticks in the water that you don't like? What if you had the globs of snow but no sticks? That should work.
I think most of the appeal to that photo is the late-afternoon light making the trees golden. Would it be as interesting in b&w? Hmm … I could make it b&w. I think I'll do that and see what it looks like.
I've already seen it in B&W. What do you think?
I have an orange charcoal pencil I could do the tree in. Would that look stupid in a B&W drawing?
The thing I don't like about it in B&W is that it is so dark because most of the snow is in shade.
I found this picture on line of Holly River Run in Webster County, West Virginia - the original is in color and I modifed it as a B&W using Lunapic . . . IMO - This one might be interesting for "You" to do - since it would definatly give Ya' an opportunity to play with Shadows/Shading . . .
