Well, didn't realize it's been 10 days since I was here last. So big HELLO to everyone!
Lots of stuff happening here. Early Monday morning (Veteran's Day) one of the mobile homes a few doors down from us exploded. Furnace blew through the ceiling causing a fire. That unit is totally gutted. The one next door to it also caught fire. Two people were injured and are still hospitalized, plus, sadly, 5 cats died in the fires. I'm fine, as is my sister and brother-in-law who live here with me.
The park was evacuated, so we spent most of the day at my niece's house until we got the all-clear to return home. It turns out the regulator on the main line coming into the park failed, and pressure which should be less than 1 lb, shot up to over 60 pounds. So the electric was turned back on, but no gas. We had electric blankets, and I cooked with the crock pot and microwave, so it really wasn't that bad for us.
But the fun was just beginning. Next came the big spat between Xcel Energy and the park owners as to who was going to pay for all the repairs. It was a no-brainer to me since it was the utility's equipment that failed, but meanwhile all the residents were without heat, hot water, etc. In the end, Xcel finally agreed to repair all the fractured lines, and there were many of them.
My gas has been turned on and off so many times now I've lost count. Move your car, we have to dig there ... no, you can move your car back we're digging somewhere else. Yes, you have a leak, well we can't find it, no you don't have a leak. Since Monday, we have seen incompetence at its highest. If I see one more worker standing around fiddling his thumbs & staring at the sky, I swear I'm going to go into meltdown. We've already paid a huge fee to have our furnace checked out (fan switch got fried during all the explosions and shutdowns/turn-back-ons). Of course, we called our own service guy -- the Xcel rep said the motor was shot and tried to sell us a new furnace.
Anyway, I'm glad to be alive. The park managers told us the whole place could have gone up, so we're lucky indeed. My thoughts and prayers are with the 2 people injured. The first victim had her granddaughter with her at the time, and thankfully, the little girl did not get hurt.
I'm off to catch up on the posts now ... so hope everyone is having a very happy Voltie day.
Wow Moonstruck! What a horrible thing to happen but I'm glad you and your family are ok. So sorry about your neighbors... and all this before Thanksgiving... but I guess now you really do have a lot to be thankful for. Take care.

took a nap,,,,yeah, FOUR HOURS LATER,,,,,E gads,,,,,,well, DH won't be home til 4am, so I wanted to stay up for him,,,,,,,don't think that will be a problem now!
The iTatste is the only one I've seen with a head system like this that is interchangeable/universal which is it's biggest advantage to me. The magnet system makes it easy to switch them while keeping everything solid enough so that if feels safe and comfortable.
Yes, I have fooled with it. If both the "up" and "down" voltage adjustment buttons are pressed simultaneously, it will display a recommended range of operating voltages for whatever delivery system is on the head at that time.
Moonstruck, how awful.....and scary too! thank goodness you're okay. It's too bad those people were injured and so sad about the poor cats. I just couldn't "like" your post, we sure do need another button. I'm just so glad you weren't hurt.
Alrightey, I finally got the coffee on. We are having Kenyan this morning. A lovely medium roast with a delicious flavor.

Good afternoon Volties!!!!! Yep, slept this late LOL,,,DH worked til 3am,,,,got home at 4am, and he ate and we talked until 5am,,,,,and then my knee, which has been giving me huge problems, decided to hurt like the very dickens,,,,,,,,,,I think I got to sleep as the sun was rising.
I ordered some more DIY stuff saturday at noon,,,,,I got it today. Holy Kamole, that was fast,,,,,of course they are in South Florida, but STILL,,,,,,,,very fast I am doing the happy dance,,,,,,trying to decide which flavors to make today,,,,,definitely dragon fruit and tiramisu,,,,,,,,maybe amaretto and pomegranite too,,,oy too many flavors!!!!

It is Saturday and I just wanted to pop-in from lurking View attachment 151990 to let you all know, compared to some others here, everything is going pretty good with "Me" . . .
More importantly, I may even have a BIG SURPRISE
to tell you all about very soon . . .

NOW - Yes, as most everyone knows by now, there has been a little "tiff" between some of "US" . . . And for those who are not new to "Voltville" and the "Chit Chat" Thread should know too that at times it is not unusual, especially given what "WE" all have gone through and will be going through during our "Transition into the World of vaping" . . . AND - If anyone knows that something like this can happen at times - it is "Me", both personally and professionally (since I am also a Counselor). . .
So if you don't mind "Me" being a little serious here, for those that do not know, I can tell you that - "Human Behavior Modification," can be and usually is a long process and involves many different aspects of someone's personality - Physically, Psychologically, Mentally, and Emotionally too - especially when it comes to addictions of all kinds (Food, Alcohol, Drugs, Smoking, etc.) . . . AND - Just as important, there are times "We" all feel the affects and effects of withdrawal in just as many different ways . . .
Heck I've gone off the "DEEP END" a few times "Myself," especially when I first tried to quit smoking completely "cold turkey" and then again when I used the "Patch" & again with "Chantex" . . . Just ask some of "My" friends and family how much of a ....* I really am and can be - even when someone is just saying "Hello" . . . (Opps - WAIT, NO DON'T ASK - Too Much Information . . . I want you all to still think of "Me" as being kind and considerate person . . . And NO Looking back at some of my earlier "not so nice" post in other threads either . . . ) . . . Hey - just to give you an idea what I was like when I tried all these other ways to quit - I even had a few people offer to buy cigarettes for 6 months if I would just start smoking again . . . (AND - given how bad it was - I took them up on their offer too . . . 
)
So given this, might I suggest to everyone that if and when something like this ever comes up again, that "We All" try to remember . . .
1) NOT To Take Anything Said (or possibly posted) in "Haste" too seriously - it was just a "Moment" and You never know what they are personally going through . . .
2) No One - should feel like they should leave here because of something they said . . . or even said to them . . . in the heat of the moment or without thinking it through before they post . . . It is just another one of those "BUMPS" in the Road "WE" Call Real LIFE . . . AND "WE" don't all have to agree or get along with one another either (Hey there are just as many people who do not like the "Fluff" as there are that do) . . . The One Thing To Always Know - Be it GOOD or Bad times - "WE" Stick together here in "Voltville" . . .
(Oh BTW: FYI - If anyone does not want to read or see certain post by people, including the ones with "Fluff", there is an option in your "General Settings to remove certain "Thread Display Options" specifically "images" and another one in "My Settings" to "Edit Your Ignore List" so you don't see any post by that individual - Just sayin' HINT HINT HINT )
OH - AND, just in case they haven't seen it (which is usually the case - Right ) - Always direct any and all NEW "Volties" & "Voltians" to the New Member Thread to see the "Welcome" that I posted (#4) to give them a "heads-up" about what happens here in "VOLTVILLE":

I hope you're feeling better after a nap, man I love naps. Particularly with the RLD (Rotten Little Dog) that's my avatar.
Anyway, FYI, I have been doing DIY for over a month. Now I have about 8 good flavors, more than enough for me to be happy for a long long time. It then becomes very easy, in fact, right before I read this post, I made up some more of 2 main flavors in under 5 minutes. If you want any advice or recipes, just shoot me a pm.

Hi Joann,,,,,,,,,no, it's not a lot of work! In fact, it's simple as pie!!! Mark is right, I can mix up a batch in 5 minutes,,,,
the most important thing is safety,,,,,I don't work with 100mg nic, I use 60 mg, so it's much safer,,,,,but still, I wear gloves, long sleeves and I am very careful to leave the gloves on for the ENTIRE process,,,,,,,if you spilled some nic, you don't want to put your hands in it,,,,,,,,I keep my nic up very very high and make sure to wipe my work surface off well with cleaning wipes that go right into the garbage when I'm done,,,,,same with the gloves,,,,,other than the safety issue, it's simple as pie to make some simple one or two flavor juices

no, I no longer get ready made juices,,,,,I might, if I could find some that are better than my own,,,,,,,but I haven't. I even replicate my favorite with no problems using a ready made recipe for it,,,,,,,,I found it online,,,,,,,originally, I had planned to buy ready made, but they're no better than my own and cost much much more. So why do it??

Uncle, ty for some great words of wisdom. Who alive hasn't said or done something that ticked somebody else off? It's life, and it will pass.
I wish I could say our situation has been resolved ... but not yet. I am so angry right now. The "work" crew (I use that term lightly) shut off our gas again without telling us ... but more importantly turned it back on without telling us. My sister & I finally smelled it in the kitchen. So I turned off the shutoff valve and opened the windows. One of the guys just came in and relit all our pilots. He claims they never shut the service down or turned it back on. Well ... it didn't turn itself back on. And it was off for a long time -- furnace is stone cold, no hot water, etc. So the gas was off for several hours in my estimation.
Sigh ... I just want this over with.
