They happened the same weekend. Learned about it when I got home from the wedding. Very conflicted day feelings wise.

Too close to the day I think. Too much excitement mitigates the Santa good/vs/bad issue....also they probly figure santa already has everything theyre gonna get LOL

Yeah I know but in this case I am the grandparent and it's not even my gift I am putting together. She will have it broken in less time than it takes me to put it together. I just want to melt it down into a drink coaster right now.
But my son, who is giving the gift, has redeemed himself by bringing me a red velvet cake blast from Sonic so back to work I go.
We didnt do cookies.Instead we are having a sleepover tomorrow night to do them.Sounds like a lotta work and a huge mess!!LOL!Good thing Christmas is for the kids.My daughter is thrilled.

I hate "some assembly required" toys. My kids are spoiled rotten by their other family members, so it makes my Christmas shopping for them super easy. Blocks and more blocks for the baby, books and a camera for the 3 year old.
