Its ok u can pick your friends and u can pick your friends noses but u can't pick your family :)

Disagree!!

Yeah I thought about that as soon as I posted....My son wouldn't agree with it either since we adopted him when he was 10.

Really cool story I'd love to share....

He was sent to us for a week long respite visit from the foster system. On the last day of the visit he asked me "Do you know I'm available for adoption?" I said yes as I began to tear up...cuz why should any kid HAVE to ask a question like that and in the next breath he says "Do you guys want to adopt me??" At that moment I was done He was mine....6 months later the judge said so too :D

Six or seven months in, I'm still like that. Can't--more like, don't want to--quit the club entirely. For me, "The Wagon" (as in fall off) is to smoke more than six cigarettes in a day--down from 20-30. And I haven't fallen off that one in 3-4 months. Four seems to be my usual number. Haven't lost my taste for smoking (although FSC doesn't help that...), especially those two quite early in the morning.

I'm continually amazed to notice that some of the easiest quitters around here were some of the heaviest smokers.

I'm now approaching 24 hrs without a smoke and aside from the odd, intense craving (like after eating, etc) I'm not really craving them that much. But again I'm chain vaping, maybe it's the nic keeping me up.

I'm sure I'll get smokes tomorrow though... Still though, coming from 2+ packs a day I'm definitely heading in the right direction. Not only does quiting smoking seem possible, it appears probable.

That is awesome... really.

You promise? And even if so be oh be go through it again in a couple years:D boB

I have definitely found that I have trigger foods.. the worst being coffee (still hard to drink coffee without a stinking cigarette in my hand) and italian food.. best cigarette was always after some pasta for some reason. I find it's best for me to use a stronger nic/flavor juice for after these things (or with, for coffee)

You will get the hang of it! Every day will become a little easier, and you will find more and more juices you love.. you can do it! :D

Concerning triggers, I'm only coming up on a month, but for me a fairly high strength and taste nic for those times was good. A 24 mg Kamel on wake up gets me going. Taste is actually important then -- Kamel has a bit of a Turkish flavor kick to it.

(I gotta get some TV menthol -- the stuff Sallana sent me is great, TV is supposed to be similar taste.)

I love PIF people. That whole "is gay normal" thread is awesome and it's so good to see a few of you all in it being supportive of "the gays".

ugh.. why do I venture into the "OUTSIDE" thread? I stay away from anything political, but some things I just cannot keep my mouth shut about.. I support fairness and equality... not just "the gays" (that sounds all kinds of wrong).. why oh why oh why do I go near that thread?:facepalm::facepalm:

I ventured into that thread as well. All I talk about is politics, I'm surprised I don't all the time in here. It's my passion, it's what I do. I currently work a campaign for a GAY man running to be the FIRST openly elected GLBTQ member to the Florida State House.

I also believe in equality for all. It's going to be a rude awakening for those people in a few years when the Supreme Court decides that states cannot deny same sex couples marriage licenses! :D

I don't get into politics much, because there are so many opinions, and then there are numbers involved.. once a topic goes into politics, my brain goes to sleep. It's just me.. I am crazy, I guess  But GOOD on the gay man running for whatever he is running for.

My husband and I don't even see eye to eye on gayness.. I won't even go back into the subject with him, because he sees it as a sin and a choice, blah blah blah.. I guess since we have to live under the same roof, we have to agree to disagree.

The "OUTSIDE" thread always has something political in there about Obama and what good or bad he's doing.. those are the conversations I shy away from. I don't know enough either way to interject.. but allowing a person to be as equal as the next.. that is something I will speak up on...

On a side note.. I am out of creamer. and only had one cup of coffee this morning, already had to redo some responses.. so if I am rambling and not making much sense, or talking in circles, I blame the coffee today!
