St. Louis, Forest Park Community College, mostly cleanings and x-rays though. Little better than an hour. I believe there's a place in Washington,MO 1/2 hour or so, but the lines been busy for close to an hour.

Any dental schools near you boB?

My friend drove 2 hours 1 way every month to THE Ohio State's program for her daughter's braces. Of course gas was cheaper 10 years ago - but it was dang cheap. They had a dental clinic where we lived because it was designated an Appalachian area - Marietta, OH. That's how she found out about dental schools!

Many dental tech/hygienist programs will clean your teeth cheap or free - but they don't do fillings etc. Just cleanings. That's all DH had for the 5 years he was in college. But he has pretty good teeth. I only have 4 without a filling in them. Thank goodness for our dental insurance and white composite resin fillings. I'd look pretty scary otherwise.

you guys need a clinic like the ones here. Income based hospitals. I make decent money and it's about 20 bucks to see the doctor. and 15 for the dentist. I've had labs, x-rays and other things done-- still 20 bucks.

boB- don't be afraid to park your car somewhere, when those people approach you ask them where the cheap place is for insurance. They probably know....
