As I said to my other half years ago - you want it? You take care of this...I've been responsible for contraception for over 20 years.....it's your turn.
We used to split just about everything by halves - and she is VERY adamant about not having kids so she would have done it either way. She was not my wife at the time as common law does not apply for 7 years in most cases. (technically it wont matter in september, which is our 10 year aniversary.) That is fine by me, I won't have to share my toys!

And, on a side note, I tried to get "fixed" after I had my daughter. The doctor told me nobody would do that for me because I was only 21 and wasn't married. I was like, "what does not being married have to do with it?" and she said, "Oh, you're husband may want kids..." ...... does not begin to express the feeling that my feminist nature brought out in me over that one. I have to wait for a man to decide what I can do with my body?!

I would have understood more if she had said... well, you're young and you may change your mind, but that's not what she said. More like, you're young and you don't know what your future husband may want.

I have a friend & her hubs who knew they didn't want kids - everyone around them said, oh you'll change your mind. Or that they were being selfish. Well here it is 15 years later - no kids! They knew at a young age that being parents wasn't something they wanted. I think you know. Kids are a lot of work. I don't think it's selfish - I thinks it's knowing what you want from life.
Wow! How could that be considered selfish? I think some people think you have to have kids or your life is meaningless. I was never planning on having kids... I love my daughter and wouldn't change anything now, but that didn't make me want to have more kids. I agree with you. I think you know. Even at a young age.
I thnk it is far more selfish to have a kid that you can not care for because you "want one". I know I am too selfish for the selfless sacrifice that it takes to be a good parent. I am also light on patience and have sensitive hearing.

"Oh yeah! you know my son xxx gets out of jail tomorrow! we throwin him a partay! shouldnta got locked up anyway, he was just selling a few rocks at school. ain't like he hurtin anybody."
I did one one parent say that her daughter was the breadwinner of the family because by 20 she had 8 kids which meant 8 checks...sickening.

Well, I'm looking at my options. I've been the breadwinner, care taker, cook, laundry, etc. anyhow. Mom spends maybe 2/3m a day with Ceridwen now. It used to be a hour or two. That was already unacceptable but now it's unforgivable. -Magnus
Just came to the shocking revelation today that I make.........wait for it.........70 cents an hour............(scurries to the dark corner rocking back and forth repeating school starts in a month)
I was a single mom for 6 years. It is doable and my child is well adjusted, fun, awesome.... somebody you'd want to hang around with. You'd all like her! And based on what I know of you from here, you're an awesome dad and you can provide you're little girl with all she needs. It sucks, but you can do it.
