rons computer died and has to go to cleveland so I will be mia after this afternoon
I remember bringing my kids to school the very first day and peeking in the windows cuz I didn't want to leave them there.They did fine and hardly missed me,LOL!My son just left to go to the High school orientation.Now I feel old.

The fire is about 90% contained- it burned around 1600 acres- I havent been out to see how close it got to me- but I know it was pretty close. Noone lost a home, noone lost any animals, but I think we ALL lost some sleep and gained a few grey hairs.
I have to unload 3 pickup trucks now, and work on setting my house back to order-
and yeah- we are under a burn ban- which means we can not burn our trash at all ( we are rural, we still burn our trash in burn barrels and we burn stumps and debri that we cut down etc. ) we have been under a burn ban for MONTHS- but this was someone driving down backroads adn throwing out flares or something to start these 3 fires. they drove down a stretch of road for abotu 4 miles and started 3 fires.
Starting about 4 miles from me- One of them started right at my SIL's house- (4miles away) the other at my husbands Job (8miles away) Before it was over they had shut down 2 major highways, adn had a few dozen differnt volunteer firefighting companies out here- we dont have paid firefighters.
anyway- I am off to put my life back to normal-ish, and try to convice my 7 year old daughter that we are not allowed to form lynch mobs anymore- and that even if we could, I couldnt let her join- she is too easily identifiable with that pink hair.

yeah with all the burn bans locally the trash pickup companies are starting to offer service to the folks outside of the city for 35 bucks a month, one can a week...
That's crazy, I'm glad they got it under control. We're under burn bans as well as water restriction, I knew I should have gotten the pool setup a few months ago, it'll be time to put it back up before I can get it out lol
There is a fire burning in Leander close to us but it is across a lake from us so I think we're safe. But Quittin', if you get any rain, send some on down to Austin please!

OK,so I owe a large fortune in medical bills.Im trying to pay them and have been calling and trying to explain that I cant send a check,I have to pay it out and because there are 30 different bills for each service NO I cant send each a hundred $ a month.I will send $20-$50 depending on how much it is.They dont get it.They dont want the payments.They want all of it or such high monthly amounts that I cant do it.They said if you send less we will still send you to the collection agency.WTF!!Im being honest and trying to pay them and I just dont get it.Im so tired of dealing with these idiots.Im just going to mail checks and if they dont want it they can send it back to me,LOL!!
Just keep in mind that if you send a check and they cash it, most states consider that a legal/binding payment agreement. It doesn't matter how large or small the amount of the payment is. But, at that point, you are obligated to pay that amount and no less each month.

I have a surgery I had in 2000- it cost me 15,000 back then- I still owe over 12,000.00- I DID pay off the Dr, the anastese.... uhhhhhh laughing gas dude, and a few other things, but the actual rental of the room is still hanging over me- Tht was over 15,000.00 alone. They have called me a few dozen times and asked personal questions, like my race, ethnic background, and alien status. to see if I qualify for them to write it off.

Keyz - whatever you do - don't give them access (other than a check) to your checking account for ACH - they can (and will) take whatever they can get.
Contact the Hospital and ask if they have a dept for financial assistance. My sis was able to get the hospital portion of her hubby's bill drastically cut. Of course the Doc all wanted 100% - and are still being paid a year later...and then some. But while they all originally talked a tough game, she's tougher. LOL And so are you. What are they going to do? Repo your hubby's heart stuff or your new ear? And trust me - they don't want one of the kids. ;-)

I got a book yesterday titled 'Teach yourself to crochet" In small print it said 'left handed instructions included'
It worked!!! I am crocheting and it looks the way it's supposed to~!!! My mom is happy I can finally do it but ...... that it took me 5 minutes with a book to catch on when she's been trying to teach me for 25 years or so~!!
