The only blue county in Texas!
Girl, I'm making another one tomorrow to take to the neighbors. Beth is begging me not to LOL!! She's trying to lose weight...not that she needs to....and she can't resist it! Nom nom nom! Let me know how the cherry turns out, I may give that try next time.

I never tried the blueberry but the cherry is amazing! I feel like the blueberry might be too sweet - the cherries give it a nice tartness. But, then again, if I tried blueberry, it'd probably be equally addictive! I made it twice - the first one with chopped pecans and the second with minced cookie pecans (very tiny) and the smaller ones made the crust more crunchy and chewy! Mmmm... only problem is, after a day, the top gets too soft and isn't good anymore. Humidity I guess?

The boy is a graduate!! We survived the visit from MIL & SIL and survived the visit TO MIL's.

Now to figure out what to do with the boys all summer. Weird to not be working and them being home. I have no idea how to do this full time now that they are older lol.

Today I made them dump their closets and pull out the clothes that don't fit. I have 3 garbage bags of clothes for a friend now. And still have to sort through the stuff #2 can't wear and find a place for it until #3 is big enough.

#1 can't get a job - as soon as they hear he's leaving in August they skip over him for a kid who will be staying in town for school. BUT he found a volunteer gig at the grade school. They are running new wires for the new computer system and needed some young knees to climb around. It's only for a couple of days, but it'll give him a reason to get up in the morning next week.

Then at the end of next week we go to U of L for his orientation. The parents version is only 1 day. His is 2 days. It's less than 2 hours away, so DH & I are not staying the night. Trying to firm up what we're doing with #2 & #3 though.

Mike - what type of job are you looking for?

What type will you settle for?

I've been searching for insurance claims adjusting positions, as a trainee. I have my license. Another option is possibly starting my dads real estate appraisal company back up and becoming a trainee appraiser. Him and I have discussed this. With this he can keep his current job and let me do appraisals. I'll settle for almost anything, as long as its full time and has benefits. :D

Lets do an update:

I did not go to jail. I did not kill any stupid people last week. I did go in the bathroom and cry at one point though.

On the good news front, EJ, one of our bestest/drunkest/crazy/super-smart friends is coming to live with us for a bit this summer and we are camping on an island beach for a week together. Pray for no arrests to be made this week as well:)

well I spent most of last night in the ER with my 2nd kid. he was sunburned on Monday on his shoulders only, and they swole up about a 1/2 inch over his normal skin height, he was getting needle like pain well below it, and was crying-

they doped him with tylonol 3, rubbed him down with silvadene and wraped him up in gauze.

he JUST woke up, and we got home around 2.
LOL

he is doing better- fixing to dope him up again.
