WTF! They are just turbos/visions that everyone has everywhere! I was hoping for something different.

I understand the dissapointment, Charlz :) But for the owner of auto 808 cone thread at least there is one other supplier (AFAIK it's only iGo Visions in the market right now - which is cheaper but without color selection, but maybe I miss others tho)

iGo is only a descriptor. It's a cone threaded 808 vision or turbo or whatever. It's a vision (or whatever) adapted to fit one of three different types of batteries. Every time I click on a vendor there is a banner exclaiming they have Visions/turbos in stock. (or whatever they want to call them to let you know what battery you can put them with) It's become like saying they have cartomizers (YAY!!!!)

I was hoping they were going to think outside the box but they give you the same and tell you they did something different and special and there will be legions to follow that will tell you their Volt brand Visions(or whatever) are far superior to the rest. The plus is knowing they held out and that you won't get some of the older versions still on the market. The claim that they are leak proof has my interest though. But every time they make a new batch they improve it. Last ones I bought haven't dripped at all.

But... but... they have 8 colors! That's improvement & superior! :p

Anyway, I hope you are right about new improved batch, my 2nd Visions 808 cone thread aka. iGo haven't dripped at all too. My first one got broken by dark juice, already disassembled and wait for me to have time to order new wick and rebuild it. We'll see.

Just ordered the Visions 808 flat too, let see how this one goes

As many of you seem to really like the Iturbo's, and I respect your experienced opinions, I have a question for you. Why? :?:

I love the ease of use, they don't leak, they last forever but to me the taste is very muted. Is it because you are modifying them somehow? Is it a variance in ohm's? I don't know the ohms on mine because the site doesn't list it. I've tried them on both Echo and Riva. I really wish I could love these because I like the ease of use, durability and look of them. I'm completely useless technically so if it's modifying them that helps I'd probably be lost.

I've noticed somewhere else (can't remember who) sells the Iturbo/Vision/Stardust in standard and LR. Would that be better?

I find the emdcc gives much more flavor and th. Haven't tried the sc though and also wonder what those would be like? Also does anyone know if there are drip tips that fit the emdcc? I'd like to dress them up a bit.

Well, that's sort of my point, Mookie. It's a snowball of hype largely due to the way it looks. When they first came out, it was form way way over function. That gap has slowly closed. And there are some good ones out there. They don't hold what they claim but clearos rarely do, and without modding the turbos, most of them fall flat. There are a few out there that have taken our mods to heart and used what we did to make them work out of the package. But not for 808 yet....in a month or two these will be worth buying and not having to mod.

Every once in awhile, hardware comes out that has everyone parading it around like the emperors new clothes.

FYI V4L now sells the EMDCC for 808 threads. But I think they're 1.5 ohms, so tread carefully.

Clove, a proper dry burn will get rid of the gunk. It may take longer than you think, but it will work, I promise! Its just a balance between pulsing carefully so you don't pop the coil from over heating, and pulsing ENOUGH so it gets hot enough to burn off the crap.

when I start, and they're damp from the water flush

1) first ten 3-4 second pulses, lots of hissing and steam

2) next 5-10, starts to get quieter, like nothing is happening

3) next 5-10, even more quiet, and it starts to look WORSE like the black crap is spreading through the wick, less hissing, almost like nothing is happening

4) next 5-10, bright red, black crap gone, dead quiet.

5) look at the ash you just formed, and wonder if you can be bothered to rinse it again lol

if its dry before you start, you pretty much skip step one and two

I dry burn the wifes, much in the same way.
I use to disassemble but that gave me wicking issues, so now it's dry burn in 3 sec pulses; pausing a few seconds to allow it to wick more juice to the coil; repeat until it's quiet and has a nice red glow. Let it cool prior to filling and give it time to wick the juice.
I'm not sure that the flavor is muted, more like sucking on a milkshake straw for me, therefore less vapor and less flavor might be how I would describe it.
I remember the first time I used a Iturbo/Stardust....I was hooked from the first toot.
Soon after I thought the flavor/taste just wasn't there anymore, so I tried a CE2.....hooked again.
Seems like I am always chasing that 'WOW' factor now.

I keep CE2's; Boge carto tanks and now CE3's in constant rotation now.

CE2: Good flavor with heat.
CE3: Nice flavor, but cooler vape. Once they warm up, they come close to the CE2's. Very 'clean' vape also.
Carto tanks: Are loaded with my all day vapes and at 3 ohms with 5.5 volts, they rock.
The wife says the carto tanks sound like a jet engine taking off...I smile at her as my cheeks puff out and I disappear into a cloud of vapor :p

I need to keep different cartos/clearos in rotation for each type of vape experience.

Edit: Juice is also a deciding factor. Some of my super thin juice only goes in cartos due to leaking issues.
