@ cyrus - cracked up about the remark of your gf yelling at you. my husband has never been a smoker and is constantly annoyed at how much time (and money) I'm spending on vaping stuff. I have to hide it half the time now because I just don't want to hear it! But between the constant searching for the correct equipment and good juice I'm on the computer all the time. I just always feel on the verge of giving up (and either screaming or crying) because nothing is working great so I'm still fighting the analog cravings.

Not sure what you meant about tophat/silicone seal cuz if it requires pliers I'm sure I'd just ruin it. Removing the drip tip did seem to give improved flavor (or is that just my imagination?) but then I get a mouth full of juice if tipped too much.

When you take the drip tip off, do you see that silicone plug with a metal thing sticking out towards you?

You don't need pliers. Just take a paper clip, straighten it, stick it in the tiny hole, and work the whole thing up. You can't break anything I promise. Just don't put more than the tip of the paper clip inside, so you don't hit the coils. They are significantly distant from it you'll be fine.

I'm glad you noted the improved taste. I don't think its your imagination at all. I think the entire mouthpiece/plug apparatus on the stardust is what mutes flavor for some. I can manage to avoid tipping above horizontal for days at a time with this thing, I'm sure you can do it if you desire. And if you need to pocket it just unscrew, wrap thick in paper towels, and put it in a tight pocket vertical. It works!

Got vapes will have fluxos in soon!

If you like the EMDCC, thats great! why not stick with it?

If you aren't going to travel with the turbo, and you manage to get the silicone tip out, you will be surprised how much flavor improves even more. You'll need to blow out condensation and only tip it enough to wet the wick. Which may be more trouble than it's worth. I don't know why they felt narrowing the top hat to a skinny nipple would improve anything. Making it taller may have been smart to reduce liquid in the tip but sending a lot of vapor through a skinny metal tube then up a long plastic one does negates the very reason clearomizers rock. Flavor.

The ultimate fix for these would be to lenghten the metal tube to the top and a small seal to prevent leaking like the ce2 and the silver band at the top should take 510/808 drip tips.

Other than that, fiddling is only fun when you find the stuff that works to use while you tinker with other things. Cyrus is right. If you have found something you do like, use it. There's no need to get caught up in the craziness.

Thanks for the help everyone.

Cyrus - That fix was sooooo easy I can't believe I was concerned about trying it! And yes, it def improves the flavor.

I have pretty much figured I am happiest with the Echo with emdcc. I was looking for stronger th (I already use 24mg juice) and that's when things got out of control. I guess the th was just too strong for my throat but I kept trying to make it work without success.

I'll let y'all in on a little secret. I have clinical depression and quitting smoking seriously changes your brain chemistry and the way your body metabolizes antidepressants. Therein, I believe lays most of my problem. I am (Just) holding on waiting and hoping my chemistry will eventually even out but I probably get frustrated much easier than your average person. I've also tried the WTA juice but didn't find that worked the wonders it claims.

One more question. I would like a stealth fat battery in something besides black. Victoria now only has them in black. I remember reading that some of you were having issues with the stealth series but don't remember the outcome. Do you recommend them and if so where can I get one?

Thanks again for all your help and patience!

I have no issues with my two black stealths from Victoria, except for one day when one of them was entirely possessed lol. But so far so good :)

Cigs def influence neurochemistry. Even nicotine aside, combustion of analogs liberates substances that act as MAO-Is (an old class of anti depressants) which serve to increase CNS levels of serotonin, dopamine, noradrenaline, all of which act synergistically with nicotine and essentially *can* make you feel good. (The simultaneity of the dopamine and nicotine arriving at the brain --> addiction). So it entirely stands to reason that most smokers are indeed self medicating underlying depression/anxiety. IIRC its even been shown that smoking improves cognitive function in schizophrenics, but thats a whole different set of pathways likely.

Cropduster 901, Mtn Vapor and Northwest Vapors all have the new version of the stealth that have had the bugs worked out. SmokTek is staying true to the led version and I think it's nice to have an option as the others all seem to be switching over to the stealth exclusively. Before she went on vacation, Victoria was aware there were issues and was getting to the bottom of it. I don't know where her stock stands.

I don't want to be a devil's advocate but have you tried any of the liquids with WTA? Supposedly they closer simulate the reaction created by smoking. Some have claimed they really make a difference. I did not notice any higher satisfaction but, though I haven't been diagnosed with anything, do continue to vape to self medicate a bit. I would always believe it's better to get as far away from a true smoking experience as possible but there are those who say vaping didn't do it for them but the WTA ejuice finally helped.

@Cyrus - nice to see someone as well educated on the subject myself! A couple of years ago I quit cold turkey and it seriously f'd me up and I went back to analogs. This time with the help of my doctor and vaping it is going much better.

@grantah - thanks for the link! I'll go order some.

@charlz - btw I always smile when I see your name because my husband's name is Charles and everyone calls him Chuck but I have always called him Charlz. I resisted WTA for quite a while for exactly that reason. I want to get as far away from analogs as possible. A couple weeks ago when I was really frustrated I gave in and ordered some from two different vendors. I haven't cared for the flavor and didn't feel much of anything from them. Possibly a little bit but it was nothing huge. I'm letting them steep to see if the flavor improves. Then again I'm concerned it's a step backwards so I'm also holding off using it. If I feel like I'm going to cave I will try it again though.

McDougal, those are what we are calling iTurbos/Stardust or CE4+'s.
The wife loves them & I don't. She has the older versions with the metal 'tophat' and newer ones with the metal 'cone'.
Do you know which type/revisions these are?
She really doesn't notice a difference between them.

Edit: In the 510 connection world, they are referred to as Ego Clearo's also.

Thanks for the info. I had heard of those, but wasn't aware SI's were the same thing.

I'm on day 2 with these CE4+'s and I have to say I'm loving them. With the Volt X2 900 mah, I'm done looking around to find the magic combination. This is definitely my setup. Simple, reliable and the perfect balance of flavor, TH and vapor. My cartos will strictly be for backup.

I'm not sure which revision these are. I'll ask someone at SI.

I'm sure they are right on par with the newest ones. They could have offered them along side their big batteries when they first came out but they wisely waited. Most of their customers aren't modders and definitely wouldn't have put up with a the drippiness of the first versions.

I feel that if you gotta know they will be good and don't mind paying a buck more, SI isn't a bad place to go.

As for your battery, try not to use it as a pass through and you will enjoy it longer. Remember that every time you vape you are discharging it. Lithium ion batteries degrade with each discharge/recharge. The constant drain and charge of using it like a passthrough speeds it up considerably.

Yeah, neither would have I. I was thinking mods and such for a long time, but when it comes down to it, I like no fuss, simple vaping. SI seems to fit the bill for me. The flavor on these is outstanding.

I'm having a terminology spaz, and since this is the clearomizer round up, shall we have a summary?

The Top Coils:

CE2 (with multiple revisions, sometimes numbers 1-5, or deluxe, ultimate, etc) = fluxomizer

Visions are visions, all 510s, though stardusts are often called ego visions

Stardust

Iturbo = 808 Stardust

crystal visions = 808 skirt threaded stardust

Bottom coils:

Elite clearomizer

CE3/Smokymizer

micromizer

wtf is a CE4? LOL

I'm digging this list, nicely sums it up!
Now--- we just need to make a list of who (vender wise) carries each of these.
I guess I can start working on it. AFAIK, this shouldn't be against the forum rules, as long as the vendors listed are "Forum Suppliers."

Hey Cyrus, since you are into CE2 tanks, here is a vid. One of them has a 808 connection that you can just screw the CE2 into. Anyway, it's just food for thought.
I'm having extra strong coffee with toasted marshmallow syrup and a hot CE3 with some of Halos Tribeca, it's doing me right tonight :)
