Skelley,
Thanks for the rundown on the CE3. I currently only have my 808 bats. I purchased an eGo last Mon. But, it died on me in two days. It went dead I charged it up, but couldn't get it to turn on. I sent it back to the vendor, I'm just waiting for them to send me a replacement.
How do those CE3's compare to the G4's I bought two of them a while back. I used it once, hated the damn thing, never touched it again.

Edit: I proofread this after posting it. Got a little laugh at myself, for the punctuation and grammar errors, so I thought I would leave it as-is for everyone else. Maybe, you'll get a chuckle too!

No problem Grantah.
I haven't tried the G4 or Vortex, once I tried a CE2 I was hooked and really never looked into much else except chasing the latest revisions and different modding techniques....lol.

These CE3's have their pros & cons, so it will be up to each individual to decide if they are worth a repurchase.
For now, they seem to be my goto device, but each device in my arsenal provides a different vaping experience and for now these are working for me.
When I want that 'hot' & moist vape, I grab a CE2; when I want to kick back in the recliner and vape until I'm dizzy, it's a 3.0 ohm carto in a tank and it's the CE3's turn when I want that clean analog type of vapor.

I should also say that all of the juices I have on hand atm are 70/30 or 50/50 (PG/VG) and I haven't had any issues using either in the CE3's as long as I follow my filling method.

No worries about punctuation & grammar, heck, I didn't even notice any errors....lol.

I've rewired some of my echomizers to 2.5ohms. I have been enjoying the clearos in all forms but until a nice looking 808 version comes along that holds 3mls and up come along, I need to have my big carts for all day use away from home. This is it! I've contacted some of the suppliers to see if they will manufacture these. There's a big hole in choices with only a DCC and a 3.0 ohm on the market. Even the new echo bats that come off the charger at 4.2v don't really let the DCC do it's thing.

Kind of a tangent for a clearomizer thread. My point is, vendors are very happy to oblige. They are the ones buying from the manufacturers and the manufacturers seem happy to try to make us happy. If you want something, ask!

The wife just handed me 2 more ego clearo's (stardust/stardust types) to add to the leak collection. I lost count, but I know she has at least 20 or more that have cracked around the base and leak.
It's not the juice, well cola made 1 explode, but the others were all long slow growing cracks that started at the base and grew upwards.
Has anyone had any issues like that with these or are they still to new?

Edit: Do these have the 'tophat' or 'pip/cone'?

Forget the CE2. Smokeless Image now has what appears to be a tank/clearo combo. They run 2.6-2.9 ohm.

Hey Skelley, I've been using the new Volt clearos for the last couple of days and they have worked just fine. No cracking or leaking as of yet. I have one filled up with Kentucky Premium Blend and the taste is great. These are my first clearos, and I'm pretty sure I won't be buying cartos ever again :)

they all have the cone now, from what I've seen. If you go to the Vision store in China, apparently they have a new shell that won't leak or crack. They just haven't made it over here yet. And not in 808. Going to drum up the link.......

Thanks Charlz, I was just on their site last week and didn't see all the new products.
I'm not sure who made them first, vision or microcigs, but I use to have 2 from microcigs. The tube was longer and went all the way to the bottom with the band around it I believe. They also didn't have any numbers on the side.

I haven't tried to dismantle any lately, the earlier ones were a real pain and the tube was glued near the base also.
The wife uses the ego style, mostly stardust brands, but I have bought several from many places whenever I make a juice purchase. She uses them on her KGO, so I don't know if that has a role in it either, but I'm ready to get her a echo batt. hoping the 808 bases will last longer.

Thanks Voltron, keeping my hopes up as the wife really likes them. They are the reason I switched to clearos also, but after the cracking issues lead me to the CE2's since they had a tougher shell.
Keep us updated if you don't mind :)

I've yet to have a crack or shell-leak from these, not sure what's going on :(

Could be that I only use DIY in them, and I would rather eat a turd than vape cinnamon lol

The wife does a lot of baked jooses, but the only cinnamon she used was Ms T's snickerdoodle.
I tasted it; it tasted just like a snickerdoodle cookie, but I don't care for cinnamon either.
I'm a fruit & tobacco guy, whereas the wife's favorite is vanilla and she adds it to just about everything.
I'm always buying vanilla from many vendors to help her find her favorite, so I don't know if vanilla has had anything to do with the cracking either.

I see Vapor Alley has restocked the CE'3, but they appear different.
They claim: "Please note, these are identical to the last ones other than the box is blank."
The syringe & tip appear different & only 1 tip now, plus the box is blank where the older ones had the MiT hologram.
So I don't know if they are original MiT's CE3's or knock-offs, but china is great at duplicating your fart before it dissipates.

Some of you are alreay aware, but I thought I'd mention Chris's (badkolo of GotVapes) recent comment on 808 Phoenix cartomizers.

i asked them to make a small batch of 808, ill inform you all later

I'm uncertain if this is top or bottom or both coil types. I suspect bottom.

I was just at microcigs site and the new CE2's look like they added the top seal from the CE4's.
Did anyone else see this or a pic from any vendor?

Edit:
Ok, I checked again....it looks like the top seal similar to the stone 3 tanks.
I bought 1 stone 3 tank, played with it for about 20min. and I felt better when I destroyed it.
I saved all the parts as you never know what you might be able to use them for.

Well, I just searched the site and got a hit on GotVapes forum; went to their site and they have them for sale if anyone is interested.
I pushed the go button and got a pack, I wonder if they are another vendors supreme's or microcigs new CE2+'s.
Guess we'll see when they arrive.
