OK, thanks for the video!

Disassembled it and found out that the wire & wick was gunked badly with dark juice (yeah, my fault) - try to clean them and they turned into ruin :p Well, lesson learned.

Anyway, I think I'll be able to rebuild this one with new wick and wire. Any recommended vendor for those? Thank you!

Clouds of vapor has wick. I think they have wire too but if you want to play with different resistances, PnJ Resources, LLC : Nichrome 80 34 is probably best or 36 is what comes standard I think. I have some coming in 32, 34 and 36 so I can play. They take a few days to ship though. Not as fast as a ecig vendor. I ordered last week and it got shipped yesterday. Then look through this thread. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizer-mods/263355-gotvapes-stardust-how-re-wick-replace-coil-11.html Folks have it down. Specifically, post #104

RockingRobbieSF on ECF did a few vids on youtube of the 'stardust'.
Here is one of them, check out his others as they show rewicking also.

I just received another 5 stardust for the wife & boy. They are the older 'tophat' style.
I'm saving all the older ones for rebuilds later. All cracked at the base & leaking.

I noticed a few that were leaking due to over tightening the drip tip. It caused the top metal band to pop up and the tip didn't seal to the silicone cap. I had juice everywhere, mouth; battery; etc.
Now, I tap on the metal band and pull the silicone cap up a little before filling and seating the tip.
I have several that still leak and I have everything installed correctly. They are several weeks old and I can not find where the juice is coming from.

I had vape mail today and received a pack of CE2 Ultimate Clearomizers. They are identical to the gotvapes deluxe flux's with the only exception being the inner raised ring on the doughnut seal. It's raised, but barely.
I install this seal first and I trim the inner ring as I had a few deluxe flux's that the coil wasn't centered and heated the ring, giving a burnt rubber taste.

I also received a Vision Stone V3 tank to try, but I am waiting on new juices to arrive before testing.
Anyone know of any mods needed for the V3?

Dude! CE2 ultimates? From where!

Tries to force a lot of vapor through a tiny hole and causes gurgley condensation problems. I switched mine for the old "top hat" style and the draw is better. I think what they were going for was to create a bigger lip for the tip to sit on and make sure no juice gets up there.

Charlz are your Iturbos from Victoria top hats or nipples?

Nipples.

This should have been an awesome one word post. But nipples in under 10 characters so I'll explain in this post. You can reverse it for a more top hat thing. But it makes for a whistley draw. The best thing to do is something I can't because I don't have a grinder. You can sand the nipple down so that it's flat. And reverse it. It's sort of a top hat on one side and a nipple on the other.

Perhaps Victoria and other suppliers can talk to the manufacturer about opening up the nipple into more of a top hat. They were on the right track making it taller, but making it into a cone shape makes for a tight draw and other issues I've talked about. The original ones were flat on one side. They should return to that. It's in their best interest. The better they are out of the box, the less we will be forced to mod them ourselves. If they worked perfectly from the start, I bet there wouldn't be a hundred videos on how to mod and rebuild them.

We also need wicks that don't overwick and drip. Thicker wicks seem to work. Another thing that might work is putting the wicks through some sort of eyelet.

Won't comment about that nipple thing...

But about the wick, because I destroyed one in the iGo version, I took a look into the others I have and it looks like they are thin & brittle - just a caution.

I actually got my ultimates from MVS...still have one going somewhat strong, it could be due to my type of juice though (VR4 from VapeRite)...the Orange Cream from VR is giving me a whole lot less trouble, it just seems like I'm getting a rubber taste more more often than a juice taste though. And leaking is DEFINITELY a big issue. Heart break all around.

I'm currently using an iGo Crystal Vision that's not too bad though. I'm stoked to give this a go round. It's kind of airy though and really noisy...

The way things are going, I might just have to stick to normal Cartomizers...or sadly move to a 501 device.

just to repeat myself silly

I have an 80% empty fluxo 1.8 ml on a riva 901 right now, hot off the charger

so long as I periodically tip upside down, and/or vape horizontal, I'm getting nothing but clouds of vapor and full blast on flavor and TH

again, not ideal, but far easier than a carto. what would you have to do to fix a carto that was only 50% empty? top off

a flick of the wrist is far easier than a refilling pit stop. and I'm down to 80% empty. As a finish this post, lol maybe DROPS left. Still going...not a drop lost (except for what stays in the wicks when all is done)

Then I'll dry burn and have a 'brand new fluxo' in a whopping 2 minutes

godAWFUL I have a feeling something is off with your wick position, possibly their length, your technique (e.g. tips and horizontal vaping), or plug position. Or some combination of those. If we can get them all right, I'm confident you're gonna be in heaven.

Perhaps I could suggest a move to Echo? The Echomizer and iTurbo are amazing :D

I've actually got a Volt X2 (Ego-808 PT) and the iGo crystal visions (which are pretty much iTurbos with a skirt -*baow chicka wow wow*) and am finding myself loving these. But I'm still determinded to get these CE2s working like hot sex on a platter.

godAWFUL I'm motivated to figure this out for you, something is not right!

your CE2s that are NOT going strong, what is the issue?

Very inconsistent. Some times the flavor is great and no throat hit. Sometimes it's a dry hit at 75% filled. I am going to get home and going to try throwing some new juice I got into a few empties I got sitting around and see how they work.

I think my favorite part about these things is that you can save the juice if things don't pan out!

It's amazing, isn't it? I have Ego 808 non-PT + iGo Crystal Visions too, don't care much about PT since I only use it with Kuwako.

So...as much as I hate saying it, because I love the living eff out of it...I think it might be the juice I was using.

I've just banged through two full Clearo's flawlessly with some KBV Pineapple Shake...while I'm not big on the juice, the vapor was pretty awesome.

Going to have to find a different way to vape my VR it appears, hmmhmmmhmmm.
