as to the OP:

I think clones have their place and I've owned clones and authentics. I guess I'd still buy a clone of something super pricey to test drive it before committing to an authentic.

I am very drawn to affordable authentics, and honestly the best tanks and drippers I've used have all been affordable authentics. At $30-60 buy in for an affordable authentic tank or dripper, I have no interest whatsoever in clones and always do my homework to avoid buying one by accident.

Totally off topic, I just have one Q:
What is that pink item?

View attachment 426051

That's Bubba Watson's driver, the sole of it. If you don't know golf, it may look weird as the angle he is holding it. He hits 300+ yard bombs with it all day, every day. Amazing golfer, known for his pink driver.

Because it's so very difficult to learn the ins and outs of something unless the company you purchase something from tells you everything? How many authentics even do that?
Most of the user errors come from people trying to chase the cloud, building far too low for their gear.... Just as much of a risk in authentics.
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

Provape does it and does it very well. Build any atty that blows clouds and put it on a Provari. It won't fire it no way no how. There is no user error with a Provari.

Someone who knows golf very well. Watson never took a lesson and never had a swing coach. Self made genius with a golf club.

That's great if that's your vaping style some of us like using rdas, or building an rta at a 0.4-0.6. Some people even like the Atlantis.

I'll stick with my DNAs and Yihi mods.
Not to mention provape hates me anyway.

Vapers that rebuild need to take the time to learn things like battery safety, ohms law, kirchoffs law and basic electronic principals. Those of us who are experienced vapors need to stop arguing over the nitty gritty and start teaching. These stupid arguments are unproductive and unhelpful.

The way I see it is. I can understand price prospective why people purchase clones. Some authentic devices are rip offs. And there are some very well made clones with almost the same qualities as authentics. To me it's shameful owning something that's a copy! I use to own a few clones but never had the proudness of saying this models whatever. When I have an authentic and someone asks me what device is that? I can proudly say it's this or it's that. And can give them genuine information of the device.

Why would Provape hate you unless you sell mods and put down Provape I can't see a reason why they would hate you.

Is the quality there though? In both materials and function?

The 2 Tobeco KF4's that I use are 100% perfect. I can only suggest for you to buy one and see for yourself. Before I bought mine, I waited to hear who made the best one and it was said that the Tobeco was the best one.

Ummmmm lets see..
I don't sell mods they just hate me....

3 weeks after I bought my 2.5 the plastic screen cover broke and I went looking for a phone number...they don't have one (or didn't)

I emailed them and asked for a screen cover, I was going to buy one and fix it myself. I was in my last semester of my electrical engineering program and was building some prosthesis, and standalone autonomous systems; so, changing a plastic screen wouldn't exactly have been a challlenge

The response was a request to send the mod in; and, I asked them to just call me. that way we can streamline communication.

They said they don't have phones.

So, we wet a weak with one email from them a day. Glad I didn't ask many questions.

Seriously?

Either they are lying or think I'm dumb.... I despise lying my kids don't get away with a lie, no matter how insignificant.

After explaining the issue further they said it should be under warranty and to send it back...I was still new to vaping; and, had no backup yet, so I ran out and bought a cheap mechanical and a kick.

It took them 2 weeks to follow up with me. When they did it was a request for 10 bucks to fix a 3 week old mod.

After arguing and forwarding them their own response indicating the great provape warranty they insisted that the warranty only covered the board.

So I paid them the ten bucks and got the mod back 4 weeks later.

(6 week turn around for a plastic piece with 4 microscrews? And they apparently use carrier pigeons to place orders with their vendors and general correspondence. )

Never Again

If it were an MVP for 50 bucks I can see it but it was a 150-170 dollar mod-(the Cadillac of vaping) can't remember the exact amount it was last march. But; for all the customer service praise I hear about with them - I felt like I was getting serviced alright.
Why would Provape hate you unless you sell mods and put down Provape I can't see a reason why they would hate you.

Perfect picture of stealing the product, markings, and logo. I wonder if Tobeco is cloned. Hope they are.

Actually yes, many Tobeco products have been cloned. At one point their name and packaging was 1:1 replicated and it was damaging to their reputation too because the clones of their clones were not good quality. Most had absolutely no idea that their crappy Tobeco clone was in fact a clone of a Tobeco clone.

Tobeco is still being cloned however, the cloner no longer uses the Tobeco name, but does replicate their packaging minus the Tobeco name.

When it comes to cloning China does not discriminate ..

I really don't understand the price angle. They want something they can't afford, so buy a fake of it. I really can't afford an Audi R8, so bought a different model, not a stolen R8 or replica. There are other options, but I guess some can't stay off cigarettes if they don't have copies of the latest and greatest mods and attys they can't afford...
