Thank God the battery didn't go nuclear. That is one of the main reasons I like regulated devices. Not because of the device, but because of my stupidity! Even with my mech mods I now use a kick, Once I thought I locked my device and found out after my leg was burning that it was firing the whole time in my pocket. You can imagine the scene in a store with me trying to get the hot potato out of my pocket cursing and all. The people thought I was some nut going crazy. Even my wife made like she didn't know me!!! :D

Some nice mods being shown here, I especially like the old school boxmods.

Speaking of which, I've had a couple PM's concerning my old school collection so I've gone through them and decided what I would be willing to get rid of and will be cleaning them up and putting them on the website in the next couple days.

I think I will have a couple Cutlass DNA12's, a Cruiser & Marauder, a flat-top Wench mode and possible more. Not sure yet.

What is the usual mark-down for a somewhat used mod? A couple of them were testers that I used for a while myself. I never usually sell used mods and have no clue..... arrr

Oh! I want some vintage mini's! Let us know when they are up!

In my haste to get packed up for a weekend trip, I certainly pulled a bone headed move. Wrapped my HD Cruiser in a towel and placed it in a box with a few of my Reo's with one slight problem. I forgot to pull the battery out! Don't try this at home kids as the results are not pretty! :?:

It could of been a whole lot worse but as it is it still sucks! Hopefully Cap can bring her back.

I'm surprised tho, that the coil didn't get red hot and separate before it got that hot. What kind was in the atty?

Dual 2mm 28g Kanthal built to 0.75 ohms. Something tells me it was a slow death as the coils are still completely intact. Can't say the same for the insulator in the Odin though. She should reach the emergency room by Monday..;) I can now guarantee this will only happen about one time..

Gotta love locking buttons.

BTW IMR batteries don't go nuclear - when they fail it's really rather disappointing. No sonic boom or angels singing. They just fizz a bit and melt. Which is why we use them.
Now a decent LiPo on the other hand....

I personally like a good click to power on my device, my Hexohm box mod has the perfect power button, nice audible click not too hard of a press. Have never auto fired in my pants..... Huhhhhh.... Anyway it functions as a security feature because there isn't a power off switch...... I like it.!

I happen to love the feel of the fire button myself. The Cruiser usually never leaves the desk in the man cave as it is used every morning that I am home for the GCD with the morning cup. I have brought it along in the past to our weekend place in Sonoma with out issue, its just that this time, I forgot to take the fricken battery out. In my haste to get out of the house, I simply failed to follow the first rule of my disaster service worker training....Stop and Think!

The auto fire was with a Origen Mech Mod not with any of my box mods or RSM Cutlass. The reason for using them with a kick. Oh and by the way I don't recommend the experience!!!:D

Ahoy all!

Well, after reading some PM's and E-mails concerning my personal collection I've decided to make some available for sale.

A couple of them are used, specifically the DNA12's, but I think they look like almost new and all of them have the usual warranty.

I'm putting up two DNA12'S, one Cruiser 6 amp, one Marauder 6 amp and even a 16340 twin battery flat top Wench model.

Unless you grab these off the classifieds I won't be selling them again as these are the last of them that I own.

Here is a slideshow for them, more info can be found on the website.

I had to tailor the web listings alot, hope I didn't mess any up!
