i have a couple of them, HRH insisted i buy them, because she grew tired of the 'domino effect' when i just lined my gear up on the table and my swearing!

They are also beautifully crafted and show off my gear. I have seen cheaper plastic versions, but if i wanted a cheap plastic holder i'd buy a cheap plastic mod for it...

You're a woodworker yourself, so you'll appreciate the time and effort more than most. "What shall i vape tonight?" :)

I have my favourite devices, but i'll say this - the Red Sky mods i own, apart from being unique, are so well finished, that if you close your eyes and run your finger over a join between the body and the door, you cannot feel the difference.

Back on topic: i am not sure of the reliablility of the dna 40 - the flash one with temperature control and all, and a few of you may be in for a rude awakening unless you are really good at making coils already.

The 30's are good and reliable, and i have a couple of dna 20 Red Sky's that have been rock solid. Not my usual brutal vape, but they were never supposed to be.

I haven't had a regulated mod since I bought an MVP2 and SVD. I've been tempted to try out something in the 30+ watt range device. When I went to the Vape Summit in Houston, I got to try out a Vapor Shark DNA40 set on 40 watts with the new Aspire Atlantis, and I must say, it was really outstanding! I haven't done tanks since my early days, but this one was a cut above, and I was surprised at that DNA40. I love mechanicals and what I can do with the attys, but if Brian does come up with a DNA40 Cutlass, I will have to get one, I think.

Funny how wives buy these things - do you thing they are telling us to tidy up?

T

Actually, I keep my stuff pretty well organized. She hasn't complained about all my stuff yet. I think it's cluttered with 5 varied tool/storage boxes, and a couple of bags of stuff. I'm looking to build a work station where I can keep everything tucked away and give me some room to work on stuff without tying up a portion of our front room. Just another project on my long list of stuff to do.

My idea of organised is that i can find anything. HRH's idea of organised is that it looks neat.

I have 3 tables and a chest of drawers dedicated to my gear just now - half my computer table, the printer table next to it, where i store meters and batteries and another in the dining room where all my juice-making gear goes.

Juice is stored in the dark of the wardrobe!

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that if I really wanna push the envelope (below 0.4 or so) I grab a mech tube and 30 amp batteries. The RSM's get 0.5 at the lowest, usually closer to 1.5 when regulated.

Treat the ladies nicely and they'll treat you even nicer!

Edit:
Which mmo Cappy? I'm sure you've said before but I can't remember.

I'm having a blast with the new world of warcraft expansion currently :)

I played myself out on WOW, been looking for a new mmo for a long time and nothing impressed me. I started playing Guild Wars 2 again to check out the new stuff, but haven't touched it in a week due to me lame limb.

Well, I myself would be content to install DNA20's, but I have to keep up with the times or people start screaming!

I dropped my DNA30 one time to many and it stopped working so I grabbed my standbye mod which uses a DNA12. As I vape around 1.5 ohms at about 8 watts, it just didn't matter what I use. (Fixed the DNA30, the output wire had broken loose from the circuit board).

As for sub ohm, I've tried it and hated it. I don't care how much vapor I get if the vapor tastes like .....t. I will leave it to other people.

Been a long day, going to finish up the desk caddies tomorrow and get them all shipped by Tuesday. The purchased mods and repairs are ready to ship on the morning tide. I'll catch up on PM's and E-Mails tomorrow I think... Cappy is pooped.....har!

Merry Xmas

Ahoy all, crazy day here today.

I woke up to no power in the house. Discovered that a crew was outside working on a utility pole. Conned my son into running down to the corner and buying me some coffee! Fortunately we got it back an hour later so I could get to work. Going to work without coffee...inconceivable !

I got the spring loaded 510 connectors today and after a hard look at them discovered they will not work either. The VT connectors are just like the FD connectors except the threads are even shorter and there is no seal at all inside to keep them from leaking. Now, why the ($@%*^ did I order 12 of them!! Did I just assume they would work? Grrrrr..

I may have to proceed with the usual hardware and just mill down the CC's flush again. I cannot find a better alternative.

Seems to me the people making these connectors know how to make connectors but don't know what's involved to make a leak proof mod. I looked very hard at them to see if I could modify them but finally gave up.

I'd be satisfied wit a DNA20 Cutlass if you had that chip available, I rarely venture over 12-14 watts anyway.

I might just use a few other Evolv regulators I have sitting around collecting dust. Would save the buyer some money too if they didn't want the latest and greatest.

Side note, all the desk caddies ordered will ship tomorrow.

I need a beer......arrr

After yet another fruitless search on the internet, I'm about to say screw it and just counter sink a shallow depression into the top of the mods, seal them up and call it quits. Why not, other people do it, but they are metal mods so I will have to seal them good.

I'm done for the night, have a great evening all.

Would you be interested in a bf 510 connection from Europe? I came across the mod went to their site every one is sold out but they sell the connectors and the mod is reviewed on YouTube.....although I couldn't understand what they were saying it didn't look like a leaker??

Here it is: http://www.svapiamo.com/en/box-mod-fai-da-te/780-vaschetta-per-box-mod.html

it looks sealed but you're going to have to utilize translation on your pc unless you're fluent in Italian
