I'm going to have to start the thread yet again in a few weeks. The start of the 5th year of RSM, good grief!


Here is a picture some of you might find interesting. mods spanning 4 years all the way back to the beginning of 2011.

From left to right;

Mark-1 Bandit (missing) 3.7v - 14500 batt
Mark-2 Misty - 3.7v (some 5v) - 14500 batt
Mark-3 Scallywag - 3.7v - 3ml - 14500 batt
Mark-4 Bucaneer - 5v (some VV) - 6ml - 18350 x 2
Mark-5 Cutlass (5.1) - VV (LED) - 6ml - 18350 x 2
Mark-6 Wench - VV (LED)- 16340 x 2
Mark-7 Destroyer - Inset tank well - VV (LED) - 16340 x 2
Mark-8 Dreadnought - VV (LED) - 6ml - 16340 x 2 (Later versions renamed back to "Cutlass")
Mark-9 Cruiser - 3.7v - 6ml - 18650 battery
Mark-10 Marauder - Inset tank well - 18650 batt




I need to try to get in touch with some RSM plank owners and see if any of them is willing to donate their old Mark-1 Bandits to the collection.

Some nice mods being shown here, I especially like the old school boxmods.

Speaking of which, I've had a couple PM's concerning my old school collection so I've gone through them and decided what I would be willing to get rid of and will be cleaning them up and putting them on the website in the next couple days.

I think I will have a couple Cutlass DNA12's, a Cruiser & Marauder, a flat-top Wench mode and possible more. Not sure yet.

What is the usual mark-down for a somewhat used mod? A couple of them were testers that I used for a while myself. I never usually sell used mods and have no clue..... arrr

Ahhh, one of those 3D printed mods? Let us know how it works out for you. I suppose a simple spray paint job might do the trick.

I guess, but I've been following the thread and people are using dye then sealing it with polyurethane.....or sealing it with Poly then spray painting or hydrographics all kinds of applications are being used but with each sealing it in order is important because this plastic is porous and absorbs juice.....

In my haste to get packed up for a weekend trip, I certainly pulled a bone headed move. Wrapped my HD Cruiser in a towel and placed it in a box with a few of my Reo's with one slight problem. I forgot to pull the battery out! Don't try this at home kids as the results are not pretty!

It could of been a whole lot worse but as it is it still sucks! Hopefully Cap can bring her back.
