Ahoy all!

Joanne is doing fine today. As mentioned before, this is her third resection so we are used to the routine now.

I'm wondering if I should find out if David can change the website desk caddy ordering so people can order a combination of different tops and bottoms for themselves without sending me a E-mail with their request. I don't know if he is good enough to get the website to do that, but we sorta had that back when I was doing mod pre-orders. Hmmm, I will ask.

I spent the day working on mods. I made the little electronic covers for the 26650 mods and got all the mod pieces of the whole batch finished and sized. The boxes have been sanded flush and the next step is to put in the push button channels and cc/tank holes, then round the edges, sand in the grips (if any) put some finish on them and then you will finally see some pics of the batch in progress.

As usual I will be making desk caddies this weekend so the pics should be posted t'words the end of the week?

Have a great Friday all, smooth sailing! arrr

Ahoy all!

I will be heading off to see the Commodore in a while, hopefully the traffic isn't too heavy on a Saturday, we'll see!

Kinda puts a dent in my work day but only had a few caddy orders so should be able to get them done on schedule.

Weather outside is looking gorgeous so I'm hoping me, Erik and David (my two sons) can enjoy the drive to Tampa today to see her.

Joanne is thinking she will be out of the hospital by this coming weekend, it will be nice to be able to get her out of there and she can finish recuperating at home. I will pass along you're well wish's!

Have a great weekend, arrrr!

Fantastic work! It looks like you are really enjoying doing it as well which makes it all the more better! say.... am I looking at a future competitor? I hope so! We are running out of exotic wood mod makers.

Thank you very much cappy, it is thanks to you that I started woodworking and also through aidreon. I do not think a future competitor, it is mainly a passion that I am next to my real job. I'd love to live this passion but I think in France it is impossible.
Thank you for answering me and if you have time, I am honored that you write me a message on my blog (in English of course).

Respect :thumb:

Ahoy all, happy Monday!

I'm heading out the door, need to drive up to Tampa and fetch the Commodore back. It will be nice to have her back home again. The doctors feel they solved her latest problem by removing the obstruction/scar tissue and she should be good to go for some years to come!

All in all, it's shaping up to be a good week (knock on wood).

Later! arrrr

Greetings crew!

It's been a rough couple weeks for me but I think I've got it all mostly settled out now.

Getting a decision on that house in the next week my Realtor says. Only took 3 1/2 months! Har! That'll be more stress on top of all the other stuff I've got going on, but it'll be exciting to finally get out of my Moms house!

Ahoy all!

Yeah, had a couple of false starts in picking up the Commodore, but they finally released her and it was a nice enough drive and she's home and lounging on the couch watching tv. All is right with the world again.

Today the batch got edges put in. I was really worried about the ziricote and ebony body but they took edges without chipping or cracking but that damn marblewood body almost gave up the ghost. It started to chip badly as I was running it through the edger so I finished it with the belt sander and so far the batch is 100%. They all survived!

Besides the usual & unusual combinations this batch I also made 3 that have solid bodies, an ebony, ziricote and marblewood mod. Probably the last time I do it as they are all so very hard to work but between them and the mods with layers/endcaps/26650 batts it's gonna be one of the most unusual batches I've yet to do. If only I could decide what engravings (if any) I should put on some of them.

Sorry to those who want one, but this batch doesn't have any Cruisers or Marauders in it, only DNA20 mods.

Tomorrow I put in pistol grips on the few mods I've decided get them, then it's two full days of hand sanding and then.... and then... a coat of finish! Can't believe how long this batch has dragged on. They usually take 6 weeks or so and I'm on week 10 already with 2 to go....

Good grief, arrrrr

p.s., anyone know where I can get Ramen in bulk, wholesale? ARRRR!
