Ahoy all, happy Sunday to ye!

---
I think PVD affects a lot of people over 65, usually a single eye only though, very rare for both eyes to get zapped like this :(

---
The style of the desk caddies is more or less a compromise between some style and functionality. I don't want to waste wood for embellishments that would drive up the cost of making them and not serve a purpose.

I am going to have to raise the prices of them soon due to the jump in wood prices here, but I still manage to offer a solid hardwood (Cherry wood currently) for the same price that others are selling for painted plywood caddies.

Not exactly. I mean it could contain all of that but doesn't have to. Here are some examples.

mid century wood furniture - Google Search

Clean, simple lines, etc

Think this may have some better examples.

modern wood furniture - Google Search

I like the current design, the only way to make it more "Modern" would be to add complications to the build process that would drive up cost, but more importantly exponentially drive up time to make. He'd get a diminishing return on that investment of time.

Ahoy again.

To avoid answering multiple PM's, I'm gonna post full sized pics with descriptions.

I wasn't planning on doing this until I posted better/final pictures but I'm getting a lot of PM's asking.....

First, the Cutlass bottom feeders with dna 20 regulators, 18650 batteries, 6ml feed bottles; Top left to right, then bottom left to right...

1 - Black walnut with Black Mesquite end caps and side panels - Taken
2 - Padauk body with 2 Purple heart layers (horizontal) and side panels - $273
3 - African mahogany with Canary wood end caps and side panels - Taken
4 - Macassar ebony body with Gabon ebony side panels - Pistol grip edge - $299
5 - Black walnut with Bocote side panels - Pistol grip edge - $274
6 - Australian red mahogany with Cocobolo end caps and side panels - $273
7 - Solid Marblewood body and side panel - $269

Next are the 26650 battery mods using DNA 20 regulators, micro-usb built in chargers. They are the same size as their 18650 counterparts but thicker to allow for the bigger battery.

Cutlass - Zebrawood body with Goncalo Alves (tigerwood) panel - Pistol grip edge - $284
Cutlass - Curly redwood body with Quilted Maple body - $273

Finally the Destroyer DNA 20's. .93" x 1" inset tank wells, 18650 batteries.

Left to right;

I like the idea that faithful crew members following this thread can be given a heads up on the coming batch before they hit the website. Thanks for that Cappy :)
I see some Macassar Ebony used for the body there, great news you're back to using that wood, it really is an awesome looking wood. I'm lucky enough to have a Destroyer 12 from the period you had some, may still be my favorite mod today

PS: Oh and that dark Ziricote... and that Flame Box, I'm sure they'll look incredible once finished! Damn actually I really love like 99% of that batch!!

Heh heh, sneaky little devil. But as I said CONGRATS. She is a beauty but so are the others and there is another I picked :) Well that is if it has not sold before Cap't gets my pm. Honestly, I would probably take any of them.

Ahoy!

I'm afraid the DNA30's won't be something I make at this time, not until they prove to have a stable/safe history. I'm also not making the mods as fast or in the large batches as I used to make, but the next batch will probably be in around 3 months? Sorry, old age and infirmities catching up with me and I'm just a one man shop :(

Hi privateers, marblewood solid is fantastic. 26650 dna20s are also really exciting mods. Won't get my love boat this time, however I'm much closer to pulling the jib on one of your swift mods cap.
26650 dna30 sounds like the warship i've dreamt of. All excellence in pics:)

I'm afraid some of these are probably one of a kind. That was my last piece of ebony and marblewood and they have dried for the last year and I felt they were ready to use. I got some ebony before that wasn't dried properly and they all shrank! Remember that? what a nightmare. I like to use proven stable wood, even if that denies some people their 'dream' mod. I do have more ziricote though, so you will be seeing more of them.
