Got a surprise today. Guess what showed up in my mailbox a day early.....

My Cruiser with a Cyclone non-AFC cap.

And the booty...

With my brass RM2

Again with the backside

Only thing wrong with it is these little marks. I don't think they are scratches because the whole thing was packaged very in bubble wrap, but every time I see them I go ACK I scratched it... oh wait those were already there. Then 5 minutes later.. oh NO!! I scratched it.. oh yeah.. shut-up self.

This is how I'm vaping it as I'm posting this.... .68 ohm single coil of twisted 28 gauge kanthal with a cotton yarn wick. (the black patch is my squonk cheater pad. Just some foam so I don't have to push in a far to squonk)

So first impressions:
Holy Crap! Nobody told me it would be this light?!!! When I first saw it, I was like ok it's about the size I thought it was going to be, then I picked it up and was like wow, light as a feather. Well it will be heavier when I add the atomizer, fill it with juice and install a battery...... nope. I haven't weighed it, but it feels like 1/4 of the weight of my Reo Grand.

Comfortable, fits great in the my hand, button feels good. Door fits wonderful and the magnet really hold it in place. The wood is simple and beautiful, every seam is perfect. No sloppy work here. The vape is super smooth with that great button that is in the perfect place for my thumb to press or if it's turned around for the index finger to press (trigger finger :p). The black hardware looks classy, not like cheap plastic.

First impression negatives: (note these are just first impressions)
Wish I could use my Cyclone AFC on it and I hope a flush-mounted 510 connector is in store for a future version.

(EDIT bottle can be removed easily from the 510 feed tube. Problem solved)Haven't figured out a good way of refilling the bottle without a napkin/paper towel to protect everything from the extra long feeder tube. I don't know if this is a negative yet. It's just different that what I'm used to and I've literally only had it a couple of hours, but hopefully I'll find a system that works without needing to prepare for a mess every time.

Last negative. I wish that mark on the back didn't bug the crap out of me. I've ran my finger and fingernail across it and cannot feel a scratch, so it's probably just part of the wood, but it bugs me every single time I catch a glimpse of it. I wonder if a wax job will make it stand out more or downplay it...

So overall I love it!! You guys really need to tell people about how light it is. It actually surprised the heck out of me. Maybe if I had one of the new super light Reo Grands (Holy Reo), then it wouldn't be as dramatic of a surprise, but since I don't, then it was.

Thank you Capt' Brian for making these and selling one to me and a super thanks to mackman pointing me here. (red sky mods here, not ECF here) :D

Happy trails,
Ken

Good review:).

It's a characteristic of the wood... I have those white white marks on my 26650 Cruiser too, and they bugged me at first exactly the same way. They are only really visible at a certain angle, which makes me think it's a part of the chatoyancy of the wood. At first, I wanted to sand the spots out... but now, I'm used to it and it doesn't bug me. If someone gave me the choice of... do you want a wood that weighs nearly nothing but has a couple of teeny white lines or a heavier wood without the white lines, I'd take the white lines:).

I have a 26650, and the battery alone is very heavy because it's huge. The mod, with battery, weighs barely more than my 18650 Woodvil. And being 50% bigger than the Woodvil, weighs less when empty. That's amazing:)!

Problem: My squonker ain't workin right. :p The tube keeps getting vacuumed to the side of the bottle.

Question: Any problem trimming it down (like in my Reo) so it barely touches the bottom of the bottle with a notch to keep it from vacuuming?

I've got the bottoms of the feed tubes in all my Reo's and RSM's cut shorter and angled to eliminate vacuuming. Works like a charm my good man!

Ken congrats and yes a fine review. Although I have only had my Cutlass for less than a week this is what I have done.
I did shorten the feed tube and cut a very small inverted V in it.
For filling the bottle I grasp the bottle tip and pull the bottle off the 510 feed tube, pop the bottle top, fill and reinsert the bottle top and feed the metal tube back onto the 510 feed tube. No muss no fuss for me.

Ahhhh, didn't realize the bottle came off at the top and connected to the feed tube. Ok how to refill without a mess solved. Thanks again macman.

Ahoy all!

Yup, good advice above. That tube can be trimmed down until it's suspended just above the bottom of the feed bottle, but I don't do that when I make them as when the bottle is tilted you can't get all the juice to squonk any more.

That white in the wood looks like a bit of wax from when I buff and wax the mod. I bet if you took a toothbrush and lightly brushed those spots it would clean it out. Then just Feed N wax them from then on.

Well, I'm working on more Cruisers for the website so I can hopefully get more up before I run out. With no word yet on regulators I am just gonna keep working on 3.7v Cruisers and maybe even some 3.7v Inset tank Marauders as well for now.

Have a good one all, arrrr

Can you post a pic of what that looks like in the bottle? If your idea has merit then I might steal it when I make them from now on if you don't mind :)

I sure can! It's in a reo but I do the same with my RSM's.

It's cut just long enough the right edge is planted in the corner so it doesn't move around, then cut at an angle away from the corner so it sucks juice from the middle of the bottle.

Edit:
That picture is kinda crappy. I'll take a few better ones when I get home from work.

I do the same with mine, but I wanted to ask before I went and did it. (just in case there was some other reason it needed to be extra long) That 45 degree angle cut ends up getting all but a few drops out of the bottom of the bottle.

Yep, I still get 98% of the juice also. An end shaped sorta like I_^_I works pretty well too but can hold the flow of thicker juices back a bit :p

I've tried slicing the tube at an angle and sometimes the angle matches the side or bottom and stops the flow. I also tried the V shaped notch and yeah, than can cause problems too. I wonder if I added a half inch to the tube if it would curl like the top of a question mark "?" on the bottom. I kinda try to do that now but maybe it needs to be longer.

Once I make the bottles up I never fiddle with the inside tube any more.

I fill my 6 ml bottles with a larger bottle that has a stainless steel tube inserted in the top cap with a 2 inch feed tube attached to it. When I fill my little bottle I just attach it to the 2 in feed tube, hold the little bottle upside down, squeeze out the air, turn it right side up and flip the big bottle upside down at the same time. When I stop squeezing the little bottle, the suction pulls juice into it. Takes a couple times to fill the 6 ml bottle but has no mess at all.

I'll post a couple pics of my refill setup tomorrow.

That's exactly what I do as well, except that I don't even have the steel tubed cap installed on the big bottle. It still works fine without mess.

Another tip to avoid mess from juice overflowing after refilling this way is to seperate the 6ml bottle from the big one while it's in upside down(on top) position and slightly squeezed. Squeezing will send most of the juice remaining in the tubing back into the big bottle leaving the tubing half empty. Then when the bottle is off from the big one and depressed, it will suck in extra air leaving the whole tubing completely empty so it won't overflow. Also because the 6ml bottle pushed in some air into the big bottle before being taken off, the juice remaining at the tip of the big bottle gets pushed back into the reservoir leaving no juice on either bottle's tip to be spewed out.

I think I still prefer the tilt & shoot method though. It's much easier to control the amount of juice to be fed, and it's much less stressful on pressing finger as well. Also, the refilling is just a breeze without the inner tubing.

And as for the length and position of the tubing, I like the way it comes. Since the tubing is long pointing at the bottom corner of the bottle I can just tilt slightly gathering the remaining few drops to that corner then shoot it up. Juice tend to condense around the corner when almost empty so having the tube end resting in the center I think will make it worse. Also the straight cut tube end allows a gap for juice to be ready right on the tube hole because the tube end is pointing corner with a bit of an angle. So it works out perfectly for me the way it is. Besides no one would ever get 100% of juice out of the bottle because when the bottle is depressed after a squonk it will suck back in some juice even if you squonk until air popping.

The only time I want to use up as much juice as possible is when I change flavors, and less than half a mil of different juice in 6ml doesn't really make any difference in taste to me, so I don't bother trying too hard to get all juice out anyways, especially when there's always a few extra bottles I can use for other flavors.

Very nice, top of the line all the way! arrrrr

Which room is mine?

Greetings crew!

Busy weekend again! Put all new bathroom hardware in the master, finished painting the rest of the house, and bought 3 lawn mowers (riding/push/weed whip)!
