Wow! I've been researching building coils pretty much all day today and it's definitely a brave new world. Last I looked, coils should never touch and you used a high gauge and relatively few wraps. Now there's micro-coils which are supposed to touch each other and you use lower gauges and more wraps. Who'd have thunk?

Thanks, Sedge. Those look like very interesting threads. I've mostly been watching YouTube videos. Question: I'm assuming that since they recommend you use a combo of resistance/nonresistance wire that you want only NR wire touching the cup. Since I'm using ready wire from Smoky's, should I ensure that I coil all of the R wire, leaving the NR wires for the tails? I'm assuming that I can tell which bit is the R wire, btw.

Reid. I only have experience with Penelopes and Odysseus when using RNR. It matters not what the NR touches. The R should be completely wrapped around the wick. If a tad of the NR is touching the wick, thats ok. Make sure the R isn't touching any metal.

Also Reid. You can buy a zapper (a mini arc welder that is sold for vapers) for $40 and make your own ready wires or the old fashioned way and twist them. Alot cheaper.

Well since I'm getting 50 or so ready wires, I'll just wait until I use those up. I'm also pretty sure my b-in-law the electrician has something similar so I can always make up a bunch when I'm there, lol.

I can't remember what you are wrapping for Reidus, but for something like the EVOD or Protank, I don't use NR. The legs a pretty short, so it won't affect the Ω much.

A Diver. Hi Wharf[emoji1]

Hope you are well. Sera and I and the kids need to trip up to your neck 'o da woods.

Morning all. Happy Hump Day!
Wharf, I'm just going by what the creators recommend. Given my history with RBAs, I'm playing it safe. That said, if I had to make my own RNR wire, I'd probably follow your advice, lol. Watching them knot the wire together reminded my why I can't seem to figure out how to knit or crochet to save my soul. And as many times as Mom tried to show me, how a sewing machine actually works seems like magic to me.

Well I had a hugely successful shopping trip today. My first stop was Bed Bath and Beyond where I found a re-fillable K-cup for my Keurig. Wouldn't you know, after spending $15 for My K-cup that didn't fit, I bought a box of 4 w/a scoop for $10 that actually fits! However, my next stop is what I'm so excited about. Across the street for BB&B is the Vape Inn, another of NO's vape shops and the one I'm most excited about. The guys there are extremely knowledgeable and have been vaping for years, unlike the kids at 504 where I had to explain to them what an atomizer was, lol. They have a limited edition Dragon Provari in chrome that I'm seriously jonesing over. They also carry the Kayfun Lite and the Russian 91%, which I'm considering if things go well with my Diver. They also have an in-house line of juice that they can make to custom strength. I wound up buying a couple of them, one called Fat ......., which is reminiscent of 5 pawns Grandmaster, which they also carry, and an awesome Vanilla Custard. I also bought a juice from a brand called King's Crown which I'm really excited about. I could spend hours (and some serious money) there. They also offered to help if I'm having problems wrapping my Diver. After my .....ing about getting too old for threading wire through tiny holes, they told me about the Mephisto, which supposedly has humongous post holes. I'll definitely be giving them my business in the future.

Wow! I've found my new favorite dessert vape!If you get a chance, try "Claim your Throne" by Kings Crown. The description says it is creams, butterscotch and brown sugar. All I know is that's its perfect with a cup of coffee made with my new K-cup. And the label's gorgeous as well:

Yeah, yeah the picture's not the best. Deal!
By the way, while I was at the vape shop, they showed me a glass carto tank specifically designed for the Provari. It sits flush on the Provari and covers the top ring. I can't for the life of me remember the name of it. Any ideas?
