now that im almost good with coils i may revisit the diver. its been collecting dust as ive been using my kayfun and russian alot.
took today off to visit my oldest in jail. hope he learns from his extended stay and decides he doesnt want to be there again. both other times its been just a few days.. this time he skipped his sentencing and had a warrant, got arrested and the judge told him to sit for 3 months then he would get sentenced. it bothers me alot and when stuff like this is on my mind i kinda get quiet and dont say much but i pop in and read daily.

Good evening! I am home safe and sound, and had a wonderful trip! It was awesome to finally get to meet BB and Hz! I really hope to get to meet everyone here some day, as I have come to realize that you are all such a genuinely fantastic and real bunch of people as I have had the chance to meet up with you one by one. I am humbled and grateful to be able to call you all my friends! I talked to Jackie today and she is recovering still, but had a chance to put some glass to the fire the other day, and said it was a bit painful still. I will have dinner with her, Freddy, and Gigi on Monday to debrief them on the expo. Jackie say she has a special message that I will forward to you all when I get it. I'm glad to see Seraphina dropping in for a quick hello, and I hope we will get to see some more of you in the near future!

I have witnessed the power of the prayers, meditations, thoughts, and good vibes of everyone here...Beata has an interview tomorrow, and if you all would send some her way they would be received with gratitude for sure! She is hoping to move from an industrial large scale operation to a lab where she would be analyzing the pharmaceutical ingredients that are being produced. The risk of exposure to chemicals is much less, and it is very important for us since it is nerve racking to think about building our family (which we would like to start to do soon) with the risks involved in those potential exposures.

When I do the divers I have been a bit unsure about nor using the non-resistant wires-Although I don't do sub ohm, I do know that certain low ohms will melt the plastics. Would love to find a welder at a decent price and stateside.

Sooner, are you suggesting that it's easier to learn rebuilding on a Russian or kayfun before dealing with the Diver? I'd wondered about that myself. Sandy, the lady who sold me the Diver actually suggested that.
Hz, I'm getting my ready wires from Stormy. I'm getting around 50 for $10. That seems quite reasonable to me.

The floating pin was with the V2 of the Russian91% however they started sending V1 pins to replace the V2 pins as soon as issues began to be reported. So just ask which pin it comes with. I love my Russian91% V2 with fixed pin. Oh I did have a leaking issue but it ended up being a bad o-ring.

One other issue I have with both of them: I've gotten spoiled. All of my carto tanks are glass. On the one hand, I'm not using many juices that are tank killers (Curious Jorge is the only that immediately comes to mind), but I really prefer the qualities of glass. I realize I can just use the SS tank but was wondering if anyone makes pyrex tanks for them.

I would recommend the kayfun, I hear they are very similar in terms of quality and ease of building, but I have access to the kf and there are certain plans in the works right now for some epic glass.

Sold! Now to find out if my vape shop carries Kanthal. I'm almost positive they do. And yes I know I can get it much more cheaply on Amazon and I will. However, I'd like to get it up and running this weekend and the wire sellers there aren't on Prime, so who knows how long it will take for it to come in, lol.

Reid. I would treat yourself to a true Svoemesto Kayfun Lite Plus v2. Clones can be hit and miss. I love my first Russian 91 but since then quality has not been there. Also I'm not pleased with Kebotech customer service and now will never buy their products.

The best place to get kanthal is ebay. Free shipping. My 3 favorite sellers are:

The last one is in FL so it should getcto you in a day. They all ship within 24hrs.

Tell me what device or devices you are going to top with the Kayfun and I can steer you to a gauge and wrap to achieve your desired ohm.

If its just the dark star dna 30 then I like 0.6 to 0.8 ohms so 26 or 27 ga at about 7 to 8 wraps on a 1.6 to 1.8 inner diameter. Cotton wick or the new fad which is amazing the cellucotton 100% rayon. In any event I think the kf performs best at or below 1.2 ohm. A standard 28 g 9 to 10 wrap 2mm ID will be at about 1.4 ohm. I like a smaller ID because I can achieve higher wattage I have found.

If you want to have a glass tank there are many sources for glass and quartz kits for the kayfun as an addon. And by Berts post it seems he's going to Trip things out. Hence another reason to get an authentic kf and not a clone.

Sedge, I'm definitely not going the clone route. The vape shop I visited yesterday carries the authentic Kayfuns as well as the Russian. I'm planning on hanging it on my Darkstar for now. Why sub-ohm? If I set the wattage, why does the ohms matter? Is it a matter of heat?
