Coralie, you'd know better than I what's available, but there's probably help available if you need it. For example, when I lived in ATL, I used to belong to a group that delivered dinner to people who for whatever reason were unable to feed themselves. While they were mostly AIDS patients (it was the late 80's) we also delivered to people in your situation while they were invalid. There's no shame in asking for help if you need it.

I think they call it a honey moon, lol.
Question: I'm enjoying everything about the Diver except the wicking. I'm not getting dry hits, but it's like a step or 2 before a dry hit. I'm using silica wick. Would cotton be better?

I like cotton or hemp in mine better jmo. You may just have to much wick, oh and make sure the slot on the bottom of pin is lined up with the slots on the bottom threading part. IOW all slots aligned will give better air flow thus better wicking? Make sense? Less is more with wicks on the diver.

Thanks, Willow. I'll break out my KGD for the next wrap.

I keep meaning to get me some a that.....but I got rolls and balls of cotton and enough hemp (liking hemp most) to last me a decade. I wanta try that rayon (?) that sedge was talking about. Been seeing it mentioned a lot lately.

I got a ton of ko gen do and Shiseido cotton. If you want I'll send all three to any Tripsters that wish to try any one or all of them.

Shoot me a PM with your addy and consider it shipped.

I ended up liking the Shiseido a tad better than the kgd. But this CCr (CelluCotton Rayon) is a game changer.

Really? Does it wick better and curious does it have funny flavor when you first set up new wick like cotton does? Hemp seems to be better about the funny flavor not being so strong and disappearing after a couple toots whereas all cotton I've tried seems to take much longer to go away.

Zero flavor if you get the correct density. Too much and you get a bit of taste. You gotta use more than cotton because it compresses more and doesn't expand like cotton.

It wicks like nothing I've tried before and I've tried it all.

No more dry hits. Lasts longer. Keeps your coils from gunking longer too.Folks are reporting even Bobas and NETs don't gunk up as fast.

Here's a pic of the same wick after 5 days and over 30 mls of Cheesecake. I usually change my cotton after 8 mls and dry burn.

WoW! That looks like brand spankin' new coil or freshly burned off coil and fresh juiced up wick. Nice!

Sadly no view from my neck of the woods. We had a flat gray sky and rain all day today and it looks like it will be sticking around a few days/nights. Happens about the same time every cherry season just to freak out the growers lol

It's 30 gauge, measuring at 2.0 ohms. I think he use a 5/64 drill bit. I'm having some wicking issues; I just opened up the airflow a bit which helps, I think. Part of the issue may have to do with me using a relatively thick juice (no I don't know the actual PG/VG ratio). At 8 watts (4v) I'm fine, but when I go to 8.5w I start having dryish hits. I'm using some of the KGD cotton I brought; he'd never used it before. He didn't roll it though; I knew enough to tell him that.

Reidus. It may be too much cotton in the coil and too long of legs in the juice well blocking the juice channels.
