My vote is for the LBC jr DNA75/18650 :thumb:

Seems like alot of peeps were scared about the LBC because of the lipo.
What's funny is the lipo is what actually makes it perform the way it does. A single 18650 over 40-45 watts isn't a viable solution. I can make it; sure but the performance just isn't where I would want Ti to be. My benchmark is 6 hours at 50w without loss of power. The dna75 at 50 watts with even a true 25-30 amp battery (according to Mooch) best case lasts 2 hrs, that's 5 batteries to last an 8 hour day with a 1hr drive each way to work; IMO that's a bridge too far. If I can find a machine shop that will work in batches of 25 at a decent rate I would consider it. But the company that did the machine work on the LBC won't touch less than 100 pieces at a time. At 100 pieces I'm around 20k all in after buying boards and carbon fiber. It just doesn't seem like a wise maneuver. If I did a pre-order for say 50 of them at 350 or so I could do it. The Trapezoid on the other hand exceeds my bench mark by a pretty fair margin and is smaller. Also with the Trapezoid I have to have the batteries custom made but they will be replaceable without coming back to me nor the need to solder.

All that said who would commit to a pre-order for the LBC Jr (18650/Dna75) at $350 with a 8-10 week delivery time? The prints are ready to go for the body now, prints for the carbon fiber are a phone call away. We could get rolling right after January 1st. Monies would be due january 15th and delivery would be March 15-April 1.

^^^^^ I definitely like the LiPo in the LBC and installation/replacement isn't that hard. Even if you don't know how to solder, I think it's easy enough to find someone that does and it only takes a few mins. But I would probably buy either one or both if that was an option....but maybe leaning towards the Trapezoid (what was that abbreviation?...:danger:).

Can you post another pic? I thought the other LiPo mod you showed us was more squared off vs. trapezoidal...

Tom, any sparkly LBC's left? I'm really liking this thing... and I know where to go if the battery ever fails :)
I do.. I might even be able to find a green if you were so inclined.
Color options:
Charcoal Black
Orange
Blue
Clear Anno (looks like bare aluminum but has a clear protective coating)

I did not purchase the LBC due to the size, not because of the lipo. I love the idea of having longer battery life, but I know I cannot have it all. I did commit to a smaller LBC and will follow through with it should you decide to proceed.

So hey, my refitted MyMod arrived, along with a Ch-O-Atty HD.
Thanks, Tom!!

Gotta say.... it's better....

NO COMPLAINTS at all about the work - just my (at-the-moment) feeling about the products.

MyMod -
- funny how I wouldn't use it, didn't feel safe, back when it had a fuse, but all's fine now that it's a true mech. LOL.
- The 510 of course is why - this one actually has an insulator.
- But it doesn't feel as rock-solid as, say the reverse-thread adjustables. Am I misunderstand the 510 pin, or can it turn down when you tighten an atty?
- And it's still just a little funky the way the bottle fits
- And I figure if I dropped this, little parts might fly off in different directions. I'm mostly using reos and coppervapes - if I drop those, I worry about the atty.

O-atty
- definite improvement over the stupid little flat plates, but personally, I still feel an O-atty is a PITA to build.
- It's just tricky to get wires captured, and Tom's right, you gotta then shove the coil deep, which is hard to do without deforming - can't keep a rod in while going lower than the deck edge...

You know what's kicking it's ...? A Catfished Maker.
I was almost gonna sell that - then realized, "I never gave it a shot with my USUAL build - I kept experimenting with stuff". So I popped in my Kanthal duals at about 0.45 ohms - and for over a week it's been blowing sweet, thick, flavor.

Tidbit - That O-atty stock drip tip is pretty restrictive. You know what's a pretty good match for the draw (full open)?
A classic! That's a Loki router on there.

THANKS, TOM!!

Im all in for the trapazoid (LBS) preorder. As for a single 18650 dna75 , its just not going to be enough for the way i vape. If it were a dual parallel 18650 id be all over it. I have a Therion dna75 thats parallel 18650 and i never get low battery warnings and get great battery life. Ive been trying to talk a guy into doing a stab wood parallel dna75 squonker and theres just not enough demand for him to do it. Count me in for a trapazoid preorder at 350 or whatever you need within reason.

If the batteries are being custom made how will we buy one if needed? You'll be buying extras I assume?

As far as the LBC jr 18650, what would battery life be for us folks who only need around 25-30 watts on around a .5 single coil? My wife is in the same boat as Peng, only reason we didnt buy a second LBC was because my wife didnt like the size of the it.

Whichever one you choose Im sure they'll sell quick and easy

Well, I'm in for whichever new mod format you decide on, but as for preferences, I'd love to see the jr and the trap side by side, so holding out for the vid you speak of.

The bat issues with the jr are not an issue for me as I've always got a stash of them nearby when I vape and these days 40W is just about the sweet spot for me.
