I have to admit ... I have tried cloud chasing on many different sub ohm setups, and I don't get the same satisfying vape I get with my KFL.
For me, it is the lung hitting I don't like ... even, just thinking about lung hitting a cigarette makes me want to cough.
Also, when I see how cloud chasers are always dripping and wiping and blowing through bottles of juice faster than packs of smokes ... I know that is not how I want to vape.
It actually feels very satisfying to have reached the peak of my vape journey ... I am happy to not be constantly chasing after bigger clouds or better flavour.
However, I only wanted to replace smoking with an alternative that feels similar to smoking and tastes better.

I also think to each their own.

I can't say I understand the need for clouds but I don't understand brain surgery either so doesn't mean a thing in the grand scheme with tobacco you have ready made cigarette smokers, roll your own smokers, cigar and pipe so I sorta view vaping the same different groups to cater for the needs of the individual and don't have a problem with any one group and never will. I have been clear on numerous threads what I don't like in vaping and it isn't limited to any one group or type or another idiots exist in everything they only matter more in vaping because we have other groups of idiots looking to ban it.

I was under the impression that the term cloud chasing was reserved for actual competition vaping? I'm not trying to oppress anyone or tell people how to vape, but one has to admit that vaping competitively is a bit infantile no?

Consider car racing, skate boarding, competitive eating, hockey, basketball, MMA, the Olimpic games, etc ...

Maybe infantile is a part of human nature? :2cool:

I happen to think Extreme Tiddlywinks is completely insane. Those guys have a death wish.
Wanting to blow big clouds and experiment with different builds? I totally get it. I also understand not wanting to mess with building or tweaking....just vape. Thats my wife. She just wants something that works when she pushes the button. I make sure whatever that happens to be, is working optimally. I enjoy that part. I also enjoy the fact that she hasn't smoked in a very long time.

I still laugh at the term, 'cloud chaser'. Who came up with that, anyways?

It's gotta be one of the dumbest things associated with vaping.
First time I ever heard that term was years ago, a video out of the Philipines of a guy using a Genesis.

I remember it was posted to the MM Vapors thread here and I was waiting for my DID to arrive. I think the term "cloud chaser" or "cloud chasing" was either in the video. or possibly in the description.

That's exactly the way Ms Rule is. I'm charged with making her ejuice, to her specifications, and maintaining her equipment in perfect working order, including checking and changing the battery, so that she can push the button and vape. LOL.
As for me, I don't consider myself a cloud chaser. But after many years of smoking cigars and pipes, which I actually smoked more of than cigarettes, I like a hefty, full flavored vape, with whatever clouds come with it.

Well, when it comes to this whole vaping thing, I try not to "take myself too seriously". ;)

i prefer dripping, and sub-tanks. my main dripper is built at .6 ohms. bigger clouds just make me more satisfied about vaping. i guess it gives me a feeling that i'm actually getting something out of it.
i know when i first tried vaping, i had one of those cig-alike rechargeable kits. spent a lot of money on it, had like 20 cartridges and a couple bottles of juice. the vapor production sucked and it never got me to kick the cig habit. now i'm 7 months+ smoke free, and part of that is cause of sub-omhing and cloud chasing

if it works for you do it, if it doesn't find a better way. all that really matters is that we all found a better life style and kicked the habit of cigs

Not because I don't do it, because that's my opinion. I'm not judging anyone.
The problem is, once you said it was infantile, you in fact DID judge those who do it.
It's one thing to say a certain thing isn't for you. But to label the whole thing with a judgmental term, like infantile, is just wrong IMO. We as vapers should be inclusive, not breaking off into exclusive clans of vape style

it's almost as sad as this whole new 'im a tootle puffer' label people created out of a joke thread. all these dumb labels being thrown about is what causes this stupid drama. I dont remember how many threads people have replied to and just state 'well im a tootle puffer so etcetc.', its kind of stupid imo.

I'm a vaper, I vape. I don't need any other labels on myself other than that, and people labeling themselves as cloudchasers or tootle puffers just seems like some stupid junior high type deal like 'im from the west side yo', 'mulberry Street REPRAZENT!" rofl.

Be gentlemen. if you're planning to give Betty Boop a hard time, I'm coming after you with a big e-stick. Weather alert: cloudz with a chance of bruises.

Ditto ~

:2cool: Cloud Chase like gentlemen

I think in many cases it is less about the size of cloud you vape and more about the person. The cloud chasers are associated with the 20 something hipster types with their curly mustaches and silly elitist attitudes. They are the folks who often looked down on others and considered themselves better at vaping than the average quit smoking vape user. I puff huge clouds but try not to be associated with the "cloud chaser" movement. Put a different label on the same vaping practices and you would see a lot less negativity.

I love vaping. I am not a cloud chaser in that I am obsessed with making the biggest possible clouds and don't care about anything else. I just make huge clouds. And I love the flavor. I love the warm hits I get from my low ohm RDAs. And I love my wide-bore top caps. It feels so good and tastes so great and the plumes are so massive. What joy!

I can see why it turns some people off. It is loud and ostentatious. I need to be conspicuous or I will attract attention. It intimidates the cigarette smokers. I try not to cause a scene. I am not in anybody's face. I enjoy what I do and it makes me happy.
