I have to admit the IPvs look kind of sexy, but I don't want to be the unit beta tester. I'd rather wait for it to be out for a couple months at least so we can find out if it has any issues

that's exactly where I'm at right now. but of course, i'm always second guessing myself-- 'what if the pre-orders come in and are great? then everybody wants one and i'll have to get on a waitlist for one and not get one for months and months??"

then I think "but what if the pre-orders come out defective, and even once i get it, i don't get to keep it and have to send it back and wait again for it..."

seriously, it's enough to drive me to the loony bin!

that said, if Fluid Vapes will hurry up and process my CANA mod order, i'll be much more patient to wait for the first batch of pre-orders to get tested. all in all though, I think we can both agree it's safe to say that the ipv's look very promising.

There are a couple of us on this forum that got shipped batch 1 dna30 clones. Fluid Vapes said it was a mistake and they are replacing them. Got mine today. I think they are trying to do the right thing and verify that everyone they are shipping now is the batch 2 models with the smaller 510 pin. Just IMO.

Just got off the phone with a man with a heavy accent from Fluid Vapes.

Here is a transcript of the call:

FV Man: "Fluid Vapes - (something i couldn't understand) - how may I help you?"

Me: "Hello, I was just calling to check the status of my order..."

FV Man: "When did you place your order?"

Me: "Yesterday morning"

FV Man: "It will go out tomorrow or the next day."

Me: "Okay--"

FV Man: "Okay, thank you"

*CLICK*

That was literally the entire call; he didn't ask me what my order number was, he didn't ask me what I had ordered, he didn't give me a chance to ask any follow up questions.

I am assuming they are probably getting flooded with calls but still 'tomorrow or the next day' ?? The USPS doesn't even pick up on the 4th of July, I don't think.

What I really wanted to know, was if they actually had it in stock or if THEY were waiting on a shipment. I would have liked to confirm with them that I was getting the updated 'batch 2' version. I also would have liked to ask where in the "processing" stage they were with my order, and if it was too late to cancel. I just felt like that was a very generic answer and I don't feel serviced as a customer.

I wish I would have gone with my gut instinct and ordered one from 101 yesterday, and then dealt with canceling my Fluid Vapes order later... or just bought both. /rant


Has anyone else called Fluid Vapes about their order? If yes, what did they say?

i had a very similar conversation, probably with the same dude. i think they mostly wholesale. my order shipped today. i still wish i woulda waited for 101vape, who just got more colors in.

in their defense, i was looking for a red one. they had it marked in stock. i checked the site the next day, they had 2 other colors available.
but if you check their shipping and returns policy, it looks like it is written for bulk purchases.

btw, i ordered monday night. i got a shipping notice about an hour ago. doubt i'll use them again, but they seem legit. :2c:

I'm sure they're legit and I'm fairly confident that my order will arrive correct and working. They're just not exactly Speedy Gonzalez when it come to processing turn around times.

You ordered Monday night? I ordered Tuesday morning (which essentially should be the same business day as you ordered) well early enough that they could have processed the order and gotten it out the same day. I just checked and still have not received any shipping notice.

I also ordered the red -- so I guess we'll see how much longer mine takes than yours.

I agree with you there, I will probably not be ordering from them again any time soon.

I have gotten in the habit of ordering vape parts off ebay, sorted closest distance first, and I usually order in the morning. Most of the time they are processed the same day; and since I find sellers that aren't too far away I usually get the item next day.

I've gotten so used to the idea of 1 day turn arounds that this just feels like agony.

just got my replacement from wetvapes-- my black one started showing the check atomizer message all the time-- He was nice enough and sent me a red one, unfortunately, it has a crooked 510 and everything sits slanted. anyone has encountered this problem? is there a dyi fix for it?

I think posting about them on here had an affect. Look up the thread on Fluid Vapes DNA purchase. A member that was not having much luck with a return call from them posted about it and within a day they were calling him. Fluid vapes also added a post to the thread stating that if you got a batch 1 by mistake, contact them so they could replace it. I called, got a return label emailed to me the same day. Dropped my DNA in the mail the next morning and had email confirmation a day later that replacement was shipped. I wonder if they have gotten overwhelmed with calls. Don't know. I know that they made it right with me and the replacement seems to have a nicer finish than the first. Wish you luck with them. As I stated earlier, I think they are trying to do right by there customers, and who knows how many DNA 30's they have been shipping out lately.

yeah, I read that thread. I was hoping to get similar results to yours-- where I would call, then an hour later, get an shipped notification-- just like you did. but sadly, no results did that yield. it's 8:30 here in California and I assume (and hope, for their wellbeing) that they have long since gone home for the day.

If my shipment gets out by tomorrow, I will cease all complaining and will even forgive far enough as to order from them again.... maybe for one of those IPV 50w they have on pre-order.

If they get it out by tomorrow, then there's still a chance i could get it by Monday.... which is still much further out than I expected. I ordered specifically from them because they were located in California and I figured it would get here by Saturday. /rant by drunken vaper(please excuse any typ0s)

Just curious how long did you own the black one? where did you order it from? Is it cloupor or some other model

Hey Clint that was very funny......Herb is our resident procrastinator....but he has grown on all of us in both forums....We are throwing a Party the day he sends us a picture of his new (whatever he gets)......LOL
We should all chip in and buy Herb a round of e-liquid to go with that new mod he might or might not get lol...

Ordered red model from fast-tech, https://www.fasttech.com/products/1740403. I'll let you all know how it works out :) Bought a sigelei 30w so canceling my cloupor order. There's new and better stuff coming out, so I think these 2 should keep me going for a while
I ordered same on from ft don't know who the manufacturer is hope it's as good or better than the ones
I got from Cloupor.

I bought 3 all work great first 2 were version ones 3rd one is the updated version all three I had for weeks with the only issue is the 2 clicks occasionally from sleep mode. They rock I might be one of the lucky ones but I doubt it these are solid . Get one or if ur really hard up
I might give ya one of mine I really don't need 3 lol....

How about you giving him one of your clones as you had previously posted.....lol

That sucks your previous cana broke down so soon. Which vendor is it from? Cloupor version?

Anyway, the only crookedness I can sort of see is how the tank is sitting in the 510 connection. Is that what you mean by crookedness?

Maybe you should do an arrow pointing out the crooked parts.

The 510 is press fit. Find something solid that will sit, not screw in, on top of the 510 and give it a couple of good hard wacks. You should be able to get it seated and straightened out.
