I've found that to be true as well. :vapor:

ok its still happening, random screen illumination.. using a new battery and a different atty screwed on tight.. also been noticing my power setting seems to go down on its own sometimes.. hmmmm not horrible issues as long as it still keeps working good other than these two things..

**update** it just dropped down to 7 watts and wouldnt let me adjust until i had to take the battery out and re-install it.. now im getting worried.

My only complaint so far is the fact that it's time consuming to change the battery, and the threaded holes for the back aren't steel inserts. I may remedy that with threaded steel inserts and custom thumbscrews.

Why do you need to change it? Granted, I've only had mine 2 weeks, but haven't found the need to change the battery.

Some people prefer to charge their batteries on an external charger rather than using the USB charging port.
Easy just to take the back off and thrown a freshly charged battery while another is being charged.

Is there a way to identify the Cloupor version? I have been in to numerous vape shops and nearly all had the DNA 30 clones but i was told only two were Cloupor versions . The others were no name from China but they looked identical.

The box is different, the "other" box that is not Cloupor has a slit across the top that goes thru the 510 well...

Actually i did not see any that had the slit through the 510 and three had the Hana modz logo on the front and the others did not.

Make up your mind earlier you said they all looked the same, now you say some had logos. Provide all the information with your question and it will be easier to answer.

It's very hard to say. Cloupor shipped some early units with logos on them. Hcigar puts there own Hcigar logo on theirs. Fasttech sells them with Hana Modz on them and I'm not sure who makes those maybe someone else knows. My guess is unless the specific vendor tells you where they purchased them you will have a hard time knowing or figuring out where they came from.

Thats what i meant , some have logo's and look the same as many Hana mods while others look almost identical to Clouper models .

But the product was not made with those intentions, that is why it is not an easily removable back plate......

So how about we start an owners thread so those of us who have them can share experiences, Q&A, problems, pics whatever.

I know like many of you, I had a love/hate relationship with the other pre-order thread. So hopefully this will be experience based rather than conjecture, conspiracy and general tomfoolery based.

If the haters show up, we can ignore them together.

Just received this. You can't get this green anymore from Cloupor from what I hear. 101 Vape had sent me the new sandblasted Orange (that I ordered) and I returned it. It was the only color the site said was still available. I thought it looked nasty, so I emailed customer service. Luckily they said they had a green available and I jumped on it. Thanks 101 Vape!

Thumb screws tend to stick out alot why would you want this?

You're thinking large...I'm thinking no thicker than a coin, like a quarter, knurled on the edges, and about the diameter of a pencil eraser. Done right, they won't snag or stick out too far.

You're right it wasn't made to be used that way, but it's not difficult to take out 2 screws, I do it all the time.
Some people have replaced the screws with magnets for that very reason.

I vape at 0.3 ohm @ 25-20 watts on my Patriot, and battery life is about 2-3 hours use at that power. I'm not always near a phone charger ow a usb jack, so changing the battery is needed.

However, since making the earlier statement, I've wrapped a nice 1.6 ohm on my Nimbus and am getting very nice vape with Fuzion Vapor Zombie Killer at 15 watts...I haven't had to change the battery yet today.

My truck was not made with the intention of being off road much of the time, yet I lifted it, fitted it with bigger and better suspension and tires, and it works well.

28 years designing and building machines, gages, fixtures and dies have caused me to improve nearly everything I buy...so that's what I do, I modify to fit my needs.

I had though about magnets, but wasn't sure how the electronics would respond with strong rare earth magnets in the vicinity...I would use those magnets, because that's what I have in my tool box.

LOL Tool and Die makers are a special breed indeed. If it can be made or modified they can do it. I worked in Moffatt's tool room for a while when I was really young and my hat goes off to them. :toast:
