Easy just to take the back off and thrown a freshly charged battery while another is being charged.

According to the member I quoted, it's "time consuming", which contradicts the term "easy". If it were easy (for him), I'd agree with you, but it's not easy (for him).

For Me it is easy, no one has to agree with me. What works for me works for me. Have a good one :)
Id rather remove 2screws than risk having the USB connecter pop off inside the mod and wait hours for the battery to charge..

My only complaint so far is the fact that it's time consuming to change the battery, and the threaded holes for the back aren't steel inserts. I may remedy that with threaded steel inserts and custom thumbscrews.
I think what Stringplucker is getting at is it would be easier, less time consuming if there were inserts and custom thumb screws rather than having screws. I agree with that, no argument here.

You're right it wasn't made to be used that way, but it's not difficult to take out 2 screws, I do it all the time.
Some people have replaced the screws with magnets for that very reason.

See.... the magnet idea I like, I saved some pictures that someone posted on another forum with the magnets in place.... that makes it convenient and it looks good as well...... may take a crack at it on one of mine...

My truck was not made with the intention of being off road much of the time, yet I lifted it, fitted it with bigger and better suspension and tires, and it works well.

28 years designing and building machines, gages, fixtures and dies have caused me to improve nearly everything I buy...so that's what I do, I modify to fit my needs.

Got it bro..... hope you really enjoy it.... mine are working like champs.......

What kind of dripper set up do you guys recommend for this mod? I usually subohm on my mechs but with the resistance lower than .5, the voltage is lackluster at 30 watts. I'm finding that a 1.3 single coil is currently more efficient but its still not my cup of tea.

My wife and I are using a Nimbus clone, 28 g 10 wraps dual coil, comes in at .8.......at 24 watts comes in at 4.5 volts.... tons of flavor and a ton of cloudage ...... eats up the battery in about 5 hours

Someone recommended a Nimbus clone to me so i ordered one, it seems most people go with other RDA'S, any reason why.

What batteries is everyone using and what is the typical runtime your getting if your around 15 watts throughout the day . I am used to the MVP's runtime and i will probably need more than one battery for an all day vape on one of these.

Herb if you vape at around 15 watts that's where I vape.....I get a full day plus from my VCT 5, I alternate my 2 units..one today.... the second one tomorrow..... but I can literally get 1.5 days out of it if I wanted to........BTW that's with a Kayfun 3.1 with a 1.1 single coil build.....

Wow , thats excellent runtime , especially with a 1.1 build . As far as the VCT batteries i see there is VTC III , VTC IV's and VTC V models , why the VTC V's ?

Both Chinese manufacturers recommended them as what worked best in the clones.... they built them so I figured they would have tried several batteries and recommended what worked best..... there are other people using Efest purple which last even longer.... but thus far I am happy with my VTC 5s....

Personal taste and east of build. I have a Nimbus clone that uses socket head set screws that are tiny and the hex key is, too. Not only that, the holes for the coils are very small, and I needed to assemble it under a magnifier. However, once completed, it's 1.6 ohms at 14 watts with good cloud and flavor production. My other atty is the Patriot built 0.3 ohm and vaped between 20 and 30 watts. The Patriot was much, much easier to build because of it's design.

I think the patriot is better, trident is better, zenith is better, etc... Cant say I like much about it, just something about it I dont like. Also find it harder to build on with the small post holes. Not for me, better options out there

I'm using a purple efest 3100mah 20amp, get a good day with 0.8ohm dual coil @22w. Closer to almost 2 with 1.4ohm Kayfun @14w.
As for the Nimbus, it's not a bad RDA at all. But personally I like a large well, adjustable airflow and domed chamber in the magma.
