I have a coil jig I think is what it's called one of the little tools that have the different millimeters do you think that using that and my wrist would be an adequate way of wrapping it or do I need to buy one of those coil Master kits?
You can use wire straight off the spool. If you want anything fancier than round, you can also buy spoils of that. I have never made a twisted or wrapped wire, but I have used a lot of Clapton, and even a sample of braided - which had great flavor, but a bit more spitting and didn’t hold up well at all.
I can’t recall what all is in the coil master kit, but the jig is a good idea. You can wrap around anything small enough, but you may not know what the ID of your coil is then. The jigs have the size on them.
The kit also has wire clippers and probably some sort of pliers. I’m not sure if the kit has scissors- I use those little stork sewing scissors- but probably tweezers and screw drivers are in it. Your RBAs will come with whatever screw drivers you’ll need, but they’re not exactly the best.
I only needed the jig, because I inherited my husband’s garage full of tools. I have every screwdriver, pliers, clippers etc. ever made.
Off topic - I also have about 60 padlocks and a drawer full of loose keys. WTH he was thinking doing that I’ll never know, but if my kids were still little I’d use that as punishment - clean your room or match the key to the lock! Your choice!
