I voted ???? on one of my votes because I want a girlie one for my wife. She would like pink or lavender or something of some flower-petal nature. I could decorate one up for her, but I over-estimate the amount of work I can get done as it is.

Nevermind. I read "Infinity" by mistake. But I still have an interest in the new Buzz too. :)

Ok not great news , the colors like Violet and maybe blue will be a higher cost , they have a 200 min. per color and I cannot sell 200 purple Buzzes !! so I am asking them about the extra cost for these colors .

The main reason I am not having these anodized in the US is the machine work that has to be done AFTER anodizing !! we have to cut the threads in the tubes AFTER they are coated and this drives the price way up ! , I am trying to keep the cost under control so this does not work .

FYI !

Why do you have to cut the threads AFTER anodization? If you anodize the threads you can achieve "lockout" by loosening the tailcap.

They have to be cut after so that the body grounds properly. The anodizing process make the body non conductive.
I am aware that anodizing makes the threads non-conductive. Many flashlight makers anodize the threads then mill the battery tube ends thus completing the circuit while allowing for lockout

Good point Gmoney , I have NOT tried that and at this point in time I would have to Beta test it. Doing things like this this late in the game is VERY risky IMO and experience .

I can get a tube anodized and try this it would ADD a switch to the circuit ! good Idea ! damn more crap to do . Ok I have 3 tubes coming like this for final evaluation and 2 of the old design , I will try it out .

I've been using a Buzz for over a yr. and have never needed an off switch nor have I heard of anyone that had problems because of it. It's a great idea G$ but we need it to be done. If he keeps changing stuff now I think we'll be in for another problem child.
If I want an off switch I just pull one battery and install it backwards.

Just a quicky LD
