One of the things i love about vaping is the incredible diversity of the equipment and the nearly indignant infinite combinations juice and equipment. I am looking forward to seeing what the final mainstream product will look like.
I think in the end our Provaris cleaeromizers and other equipment will be collectors items.
What I see is standardized connectors (510 maybe) standard atomizers (cartomizers maybe) that come in 3 variants hot , cold, medium. And a standard batt. Once there are more vapers than smokers nic amount will be less important.
Part of what we are all doing here is laying the foundation for the final product that can potentially replace the cig. in the market.
I am interested in seeing what you think the final product will look like. I has to be convenient, simple and have mass appeal. What do you think?

Perhaps, but I don't see PM building any foundation to start a line. They would do well to at least formulat a jui ce that is spot on.
SE already shot themselves in the foot, the reputation of high price and mediocre quality leaves them behind from the start.
I could see Blu making it. The have a strong base to start on.
As for tinkerers I fully agree. I have never bought a computer put together for me, every laptop I have was rebuilt be me. I like to tinker.

Then you'll be a tinkering vaper forever :)

PM, LL, Blu, etc have funding. They'll simply buy a cheap Chinese product, rebrand it via OEM, and resell it at a premium. In the end, people will stick to brand loyalty, "luxury", and the effects of mass advertising.

Regardless of a grounds or not, they won't develop anything special. Blu, SE, etc are just using already-know formats/standards ya know?

I see your point. I do wonder though, who would buy an e cig from pM or LL? The idea of going to vaping is to avoid cigs, would we accept sick prominent cig manufactures to play in or court?

You'd be surprised actually. More than 5 times, I'd be standing in line watching someone buy a Blu disposable. LL actually acquired Blu, so there ya have it.

Personally, I know about how "mainstream" e-cigs are garbage. I doubt any serious vaper here would accept big tobacco corporations as "one of us".

Again, using the car reference, you wouldn't be caught dead bringing a stock Honda Civic to an Import Tuner meet...lol
