That must have been quite a celebration for your aunt!Would share my story.. But I am not a candidate... I started smoking because of a very very hot young lady in New York. Stupid me and women.......
Sorry to hear as well.
My mom has gone through breast and thyroid cancer. Even had the thyroid sent out t see if it was genetic so that us kids can have our removed before it would go. Luckily it isn't.
My aunt was informed she had the bad type of cancer 6 months ago. Docs told her she had 3 months or so left. 2 months after that it went into remission and we had a huge party for her 60+ birthday that she wasn't supposed to have.
The strange thing... neither of them smoked.. the two don't drink alcohol (never have). Messed up huh?
Yup, you can live by all the rules and get slammed while others can break all the rules and thrive...all it does is increase your odds but life's still a gamble.
After 30+ years of smoking I chose to fold and walk away from the table and took up vaping instead...while I walked away from the table I haven't cashed in my chips just yet
