Red bike sold. Blue bike did not. My decision has been made for me.

OMG, that is too funny!!! Are you SURE you dont want to have Mr V record it? That would be hilARIOUS!!!

Congrats on the bike!

But we would pay REAL MONEY to see that video. And we wouldn't share it...much.

You've seen a stupid video of me. Its only fair.

That's just mean...

Zach's vet just called. I'm in shock. He said he would call tomorrow to see how Zach was doing, but I can't believe he actually called tonight, AND he said he would call back tomorrow too! We've spent the last 10 years looking for a good vet. I think we might have finally found one.

That's a rarity to find such a good vet like that.

Ummm, maybe I won't be headed to my mom's after all. There is a 3 in 10 chance of tornadoes and quarter size hail in the New England area today. Hmmm... am I feeling lucky today?

That sounds not good.

Morning kids.Popping in on my way to see the Grandkids. Will try to visit while I'm gone unless my daughter makes me maintain radio silence.Should be back on Wed...

Have fun. Enjoy the grandkids. We'll miss you!

Good evening all!

Well, the nap didnt happen. I had literally just told CJ to lay CJ to lay down when the phone rang. The guy buying the boat was on his way down to me, when he got in an accident. A bad one. He was changing lanes in a construction zone with narrow lanes, and some jack hole speeding flew into his blind spot and clipped him, sent him skidding into the concrete barrier, and flipped his car. He's ok, but his buddy got his jaw broken where the windsheild bar collapsed and pushed his face back into the seat.

Anywho, when I called, he said that if the lug nuts I had didnt fit, then the ones he had wouldnt either. While I was on the phone, my neighbor comes out of his house. He has a trailer, so I asked him if I could steal enough to get it rolling. He said he would, but his son took the trailer this morning. But he told me that the family owned auto parts store in town would probably have some. Sure enough, they did. For the next hour and a half, I wrestled with that damned boat/trailer in the blazing sun and low 90 degree temps. But I finally got them on. Loaded up the kids and headed out. I had forgotten how wide that trailer was. On these narrow back country roads, if the right side tire is on the white line, the left side tire is just a few inches off the yellow line. I had the same problem going through the construction zone where he wrecked this morning. After a two hour drive, we get to his house, and we start talking. I told him everything I could about the boat, he talked about his accident, found out he is a former Marine, and a lot of other topics. The next thing I know, its 5:30. His wife invited the kids in for a popcicle, where they then found that their cat (one of the kind that weighs 40 pounds) had just had kittens a couple of weeks ago. It was a small battle getting them out of the house, but I finally prevailed.

The wheels/tire I had on the trailer were borrowed, and since I was passing by the guys house that let me use them, I went ahead and dropped the tires off with him, and started home. Ive been home for all of 30 minutes now. BUT the boat is GONE. Now I just need to get in touch with the guys selling those bikes and see how that went.

Oh, and I guess all of the excursion from messing
with the boat did something to help my back. It still hurts like hell, but no where NEAR the same intensity it was this morning

Psh. You happen to have a good looking face and some purdy blue eyes.

What she said!

Are you TRYING to find the 40 pounds Tiff lost?

In order:

Sounds like a looooong day.

I'm happy your back is feeling better than it was.

1987?! :p

Thank you and thank you!

I don't care who finds it, just please don't send it back.

Please put in a good word to the traffic demons for me, I just found out the US Open (golf) is going to be less than 2 miles from where I work. :(

OH NO! When we lived in NJ one of the golf majors was held at a golf course on the bus route to work. Turned a 1 hour commute into a 3 hour commute. Ugh, not good.

I'm just hoping going in at 0630 and leaving at 1530 will be good enough to keep me out of the worst of it. They put up orange signs last week warning about local road closures, their attempt at diverting traffic around the area. Then I had the pleasure of following 2 HUGE trailers being towed down the main road to the golf course, at about 20 mph. That's when I found out they were setting up for a tournament. Today out of curiosity I Googled, and found out which tournament!

You're doing much better than me. I'm showered and the critters are tended. That's it.
We have a gift card to Pedros. But it appears that Pedros is now closed.
Laundry done. Off to wallyfworld. And then Ruby Tuesdays. Late lunch early dinner. Found 2 gift cards we forgot we had  ones over a year old the other 6 or so months.

I'm really catching hill for the site being closed. Darn it anyways....

Stay strong FV. There are always going to be people who think you're not doing enough even if you went to their houses and mixed the juice for them on demand. There is nothing wrong with being closed on the weekends and everything right with being closed on the weekends. Once everyone gets used to it you'll get less complaints. I'm sure there will always be a few. There are ALWAYS at least a few.

Thanks Sallie. I clarified on the website WHY we are closed on weekends. I think people forget that it is two people doing this, right now it is two exhausted people. With grass a foot tall, a boat that hasn't gone anywhere for two years, family and friends that we don't see....

They have to get over it.
