Sounds like what hubby is doing right now. I feel guilty that I'm not out there helping but he said to stay away.l Oooook. So I did some laundry, organized only one file. Only 50+ to go. Oh, and tried to groom Fiona cause she looks horrid. That didn't go so well. Hubby will help me later. Little alligator is what she is.

Good afternoon! Work went much better today. I got home and hubby and Alex are working on getting the computer set up in Alex's room and the office cleaned up some more. It's looking like an inhabitable room now. The treadmill is going to my mom's house and if my dad doesn't like it then it goes in the yard sale they will soon have. My mom wants the treadmill, my dad does not. I'm betting my mom wins.

I offered to help in the office and Alex's room but hubby said no, they have it under control. Sounds good to me. I started some laundry and came to sit down for a few minutes. I'll get up shortly and get something productive done.

Tiff, could you share your dog food recipe with me please?

Sure, I can give you a rundown of what we give ours but you will need to google how much your dog would need based on their weight. There's also the bone to meat ratio and hubby did all the research on it. Here is a site with some of that info on it.
Bone And Food Values For Raw Feeding Dogs - Dogs Naturally Magazine
Here's another one. The Original Top 50 BARF FAQs for Beginners - BARF: A Bones and Raw Food Diet for Dogs

If I'm not mistaken then the amount of food daily is based on their weight which I'm pretty sure is 2-4 % which gives room for adjusting. For our dogs we give Shrek 4 pounds a day, Ruger is 8 oz a day, and Fiona is 3 oz.

Our recipe is as follows:

Chicken leg quarters (We give this ground with the bone in as their main meat. We did try just grinding the little dogs and give Shrek the whole piece bone in. He did good on it. Bone can be consumed as long as it is not cooked. 10-25% of bone)
Chicken livers
Chicken gizzards
Chicken hearts
Sometimes necks and feet
Veggies and fruits run through the food processor. They need very little veggies and fruit daily and some they can not eat are avocado, onions, raisins, grapes, cherries chocolate of course. Here's a more thorough list Foods That Are Hazardous to Dogs | ASPCA Dogs can not process and will get no benefit from fruits and veggies without being pulverized first.)

I throw the required amount of veggie/fruit assortment, add a few hearts, livers and gizzards then add the rest of it as the meat with bone. We make up two weeks worth at at time and would love to be able to do it once a month but our freezer in the garage isn't big enough.

Hope this was some help.

Good morning. We're heading over to the in laws today to celebrate hubby's birthday. His birthday is actually tomorrow so I'll do something special for him then. He already got his present, the tool chest. He worked his tail off yesterday between Alex's room and the office. He helped out a ton yesterday.
