Tiff, could you share your dog food recipe with me please?
Sure, I can give you a rundown of what we give ours but you will need to google how much your dog would need based on their weight. There's also the bone to meat ratio and hubby did all the research on it. Here is a site with some of that info on it.

If I'm not mistaken then the amount of food daily is based on their weight which I'm pretty sure is 2-4 % which gives room for adjusting. For our dogs we give Shrek 4 pounds a day, Ruger is 8 oz a day, and Fiona is 3 oz.
Our recipe is as follows:
Chicken leg quarters (We give this ground with the bone in as their main meat. We did try just grinding the little dogs and give Shrek the whole piece bone in. He did good on it. Bone can be consumed as long as it is not cooked. 10-25% of bone)
Chicken livers
Chicken gizzards
Chicken hearts
Sometimes necks and feet
Veggies and fruits run
through the food processor. They need very little veggies and fruit daily and some they can not eat are avocado, onions, raisins, grapes, cherries chocolate of course. Here's a more thorough list

I
throw the required amount of veggie/fruit assortment, add a few hearts, livers and gizzards then add the rest of it as the meat with bone. We make up two weeks worth at at time and would love to be able to do it once a month but our freezer in the garage isn't big enough.
Hope this was some help.
