It's 2:02 so hope you closed up shop by now.

Alex finished the SAT. Morgan's at her friends house. I'll go pick her back up at 6. Hubby is at work today. Asthma is acting up. Have no desire to clean anything. I did manage the floors and kitchen before I took Morgan. I guess I'll do a little here and there as the day goes along. The dogs need a bath but too much effort for me today.

Oh, I completely forgot about the time difference.

Wonder if Morgan is having fun? They were going to play the xbox and play on their musical instruments. He has several guitars and various other instruments. Morgan opted to bring her ukulele. The mom is home and I was thoroughly promised that they would be well supervised. Wonder if she's still going to youth group tomorrow night with him.

Not a peep from the stalker school girl, thankfully. I was so not looking forward to having to talk to this girls parents about it. As long as there are no more issues with her trying to get Morgan in trouble then there's no reason to. Although I told Morgan to not take it anymore and find a way to separate if she no longer wants to be her friend, we did say that the only exception to it was if the girl started a physical fight then Morgan by all means can defend herself. Mean kids suck!!! And I called the school and told them that if in the future she is sent outside the classroom to deal with any thing like this in the guidance or counselor I am to notified. The vice principal said she thought the other person called me about it. Nope, and told her to please make that ckear to her IEP team and special ed coordinator. For some reason they didn't call me but did call the other girls parents. And this girl wrote Morgan a letter that the counselor told her to write down her feelings about it and then show it to her. She did write the letter, all 2 small handprint pages, and gave it to her. counselor said it was not meant or her to give to Morgan and definitely was not appropriate. Well she failed to mention to not actually give it to her. Morgan brought it home and showed me.

Ok, I'll shut up about all this stuff now. Thanks for letting me vent. :)

Best one yet!

Good morning everyone, and it's a miracle that we all survive having teens.

On to a super fun day at the hut.
I'm still surprised THEY survived!

Today's "fun": one of the clerks (female) MIGHT have meningitis. Dept of Health won't tell us anything, PO peeps won't either. I texted both boys not to visit until we get it figured out. So far, I feel fine.

The lady in question took herself to the hospital on Wednesday, major headaches and really high blood pressure. She is now in quarantine.

Yikes, Bamrz!

Morgan had fun at Geo's house today. They played minecraft and musical instruments. Between the two of them they have a band full of instruments.

I did end up going by my parents house while I was out. I should have followed my gut and just gone on home.

Not much in the way of house work got done today. Just the floors and a couple loads of laundry and got the dishwasher started. The rest of the day I was either in the car driving to pick up or drop off a kid or I was here on the couch thinking about all the stuff I should be doing but am avoiding.

Shrek was strange this evening but he was eating and drinking and going to the bathroom. He's lately been wanting to go out much more frequently. Alex took him out around 11 and said he had ......... After a while he threw up and then started with ........ in the house. I tried giving him a pepto. He was going room to room moaning and laying down here or there thinking his stomach must be bothering him. I heard a commotion down the hall and found him having what looked like a seizure. He didn't make it. He died tonight. It all happened so fast. I don't know what happened. The kids and I were all in the hallway with him. Each one of us started crying. Alex helped to move him onto a blanket and then tomorrow Alex and I will have to go dig a giant hole to bury him in the back yard. Hubby is working but Alex called him even though it was super late. Alex said he'd help me dig the hole and carry Shrek to it. We'll use the wheel barrel if we can finagle it out of the garage.
He was one of the best dogs we've ever had. I can't for the life of me think of what could have happened. He acting normal until late this afternoon. He didin't have anything different or get into anything because I don't leave poisonous stuff in the bottom cabinnets or on the floor. We were all there petting him after the seizure and that's when he died so it's nice to know that he was surrounded by people that love him. We're all heartbroken.

Thanks guys. We just finished burying him. Hubby is at work so Alex and I did it. Couldn't find the big shovel anywhere. The only thing we found was a little miniature shovel with a handle about 3 feet long. The wheel barrow had a flat tire and couldn't find the tire pump. Alex started at it around 6:30 and I did shortly after. I don't know if we buried him quite deep enough but we did the best we could. It's raining, chilly, and after digging a hole it is muddy. We're covered in GA red clay. Alex is handling it pretty hard. Morgan is just being a bratty pita. Hubby isn't here. I'm still baffled. The image of how he died last night is permanently burned into my brain. Awful. And I couldn't do a dam thing to help him.

No idea FV. After googling last night, found out it could be 7-10 days for symptoms to appear. She called out of work from Weds onward, so Tues will be 7 days. Unless we hear something from the Health Dept.

I'm hoping she is OK. From what I was reading, if they kept her in the hospital and it is meningitis, it's one of the bad ones, like bacterial. Viral type there's not much to do, other than take Tylenol and wait for it to clear.

Mindless tv time. On season 5 out of 11 of Greys Anatomy.

Morgan made sugar cookies using whole wheat flour. Not too sure about that combo.

Alex is taking it pretty hard. Shrek hung out with him all day in his room. He was very therapeutic for Alex. I can't seem to stop thinking about sitting on the floor with him and holding his head and rubbing it while he was dying. If he'd died in his sleep then I think it would be a bit easier to handle. Watching him die was so sad.
