How cool are these? I'm in need of new mud shoes.

Apollo kicked my .... today. He's finally worn out and asleep in my lap. Hubby comes home tomorrow so he'll have puppy duty. Alex helped me move furniture today to make room for the kennel. I'm not thrilled with where the kennel is but for now that's where it stays. My house is officially wall to wall packed. Time to relax for the day. Tomorrow will be busy with an appointment for granny and the ent doc for me. Hope everyone has a great night.

The minions look delicious. I haven't had a cookie in I can't tell you how long.

Had my appointment with the ENT today. Good news and bad news. The good news is that it doesn't seem to be neurological and that he thinks he's found the culprit of the symptoms. The bad news is that it is not curable, but on the good side it is treatable and in 85% of the cases helps improve symptoms. It's called Meniere's Disease. Basically a problem with the inner ear that causes ringing/humming/muffled in the ear along with vertigo and nausea. The spells can last from just a few minutes to a few hours, which it what's it's been for me. It is a progressive disease and eventually can cause hearing loss over time. No set time span, just depends on the individual case. It usually starts in one ear (my right) and it is possible it will affect both ears eventually. It can come and go over an extended period of time and sometimes go months without symptoms, especially with treatment. Treatment sucks. Low sodium diet of only about 2 grams a day, limited caffeine, limited alcohol, and limited nicotine. My next order I will cut my nic down to 12 mg from 18 mg. I'm glad to have an answer, and it could be worse, but it still sucks.

How is everyone else doing?

Left over homemade chicken and dumplings from Granny is on the menu tonight. I was going to let the kids and Ed have that and I was planning to have a large cup of tomato soup. It has 700 mg of sodium per serving but if I don't have anything else with sodium in it for the day then I can have it. My beloved monster javas have 600 mg of sodium per can and is loaded with caffeine. :( I can occasionally treat myself to it but not an every day thing. Lots of whole grains, fresh fruit and fresh veggies. Limited pizza, chinese, and anything like chips and crackers or anything that has MSG, which includes most prepackaged foods. I suppose I'll eventually get used to it. He also is putting me on a prescription diuretic.
